Even Flash asked about a potential timeline of Darkseid's attack before the battle. Some of the team would have clearly been better at defense then getting them killed in the initial attack. There was always a chance of failing against darkseid and Batman considered and planned for the possibility. No teams grouped by skill set with a leadership structure, no serious backup plan and organization with other hero teams (or even antiheroes/villains), governments to organize planetary defense in case it failed? No recon prior? They had people with teleporting abilities. That couldn't have been more effective to at least rescue a few more people before a retreat?

This universe’s Damian Wayne was by far my favorite. God damn I remember starting with the flashpoint paradox, never thought this series would be what it is today. Some of these movies were better than a lot of marvel movies I’ve seen. I really hope they stick with this formula going forward, maybe even do an injustice storyline next? I didn't even know this movie was a thing, I usually just look at the wikipedia page to see what animated movies are out or in production. So when I saw this movie pop up on there, I was surprised and went to watch it online, going in completely blind to everything about it, no trailers, and didn't know that this was the last movie for this continuity. Every single moment right from the start just left my jaw on the floor in complete shock. I kept seeing all these huge characters literally torn apart, completely massacred and shredded, and kept wondering "How in the world do they plan to come back from this?? There's just no reasonable way they can come back from any of this!" And then after finishing the film and seeing how they planned to retcon all this, I saw another review/easter egg video pop up online and found out from that video that this was the final film for the current continuity and that's why they just went all out. I absolutely loved this movie, it's easily in my top 3, if not at number 1 for me, and I would wholly recommend it to anyone who enjoys DC films, especially the darker DC films.

Yes and no. Batman’s contingency was John Constantine escaping to set up a counter attack at some point. He probably knew that darkseid would spare Superman due to there rivalry and Superman would inspire Constantine to help. Everything else happened due to the actions of John himself with no real influence by Batman. Batman’s contingency was essentially a shot in the dark and Batman being Batman, it was of course a headshot

Yknow, there’s a theory When the Flashpoint was happening, and when everyone was looking at the light, it’s kinda obvious that almost everyone had in their mind that a Flashpoint was happening, that the board was being wiped clean. So, my theory is that, because of this, their subconsciouses were getting ready to face this. So what could probably happen is that at least a bit of their lives were protected by their subconsciouses when the Flashpoint occurred, because their subcounsiouses knew it was happening. SO, maybe in the next universe, we might see the characters having minor flashbacks or dreams of their past lives at certain points of the next line of movies. Because of this, it is possible that the Damian and Raven when they meet again in the next universe, they would instantly feel a bond form with each other, due to fragments of memories of their past lives

Dr. Fate can't actually intervene in certain events. As the Lord's of order have even stated that some things just need to happen in order to bring a balance to the universe.
