Fun fact: when black adam was first introduced way back in the 1940's he was meant to be a 1 off villain, hence why he died in that issue. After dc acquired the rights to Fawcett comics they brought black adam back after an over 30 year hiatus.

@@TheNiggaReview actually black Adam and the rock for fucked over for several years before making the movie. While the first Shazam movie got pushed ahead of his project because of the happy go lucky family comedy genre. Rock always viewed black Adam as a serious project and character. No one takes Captain marvel serious. In the end we lose the most because we are stuck with Shazam being aloof while never seeing the extent of what the gods powers would look like in a real sci Fi battle. Black Adam vs Superman would have accomplished this. Shazam vs Deadpool would be the only thing close in comedic action. Black Adam needs to battle someone more serious about the violence that's happening around them. Shazam 8s about Candy and skipping school type shit. Should never have been a heavy weight character

It would have been better than the actual movie because the daughters could not take the power directly from the champion. Making black Adam the strongest champion. I don't know why the comics make Adam so obsessed with Billys magic when it's just the same source he uses already..

Same! The only big problem i had was that the ending was too ... perfect. Like, the cgi monsters and branches just gets thanos-style snapped out of existence, and wonder woman shows up and not only fixes the staff, but also resurrects billy AND fixes the magic tree. No consequence to any actions

As good or bad as it might be to have the Rock no longer as Black Adam, The Rocks contracts are that he always wins in the end. That doesnt make sense in the DCEU or DCU. So it at least takes care of future liabilities

Did like the 80's Superman, Shazam team up vs Black Adam, pre giving Black Adam a cape when he was more like a D.C. version of Namor even with the pointy ears. Antagonist and Protagonist all in one. Tho I know his anti-hero arc hadn't fully been established at that time but if you get to see that comic, Adam is literally drawn like a Namor in a black adam suit minus the wings

I liked how during the MK Vs DC Universe that Raiden was Shazam's rival in the story and Liu Kang's counterpart. However between Shazam and Black Adam the two of them always had a mutual respect for each other as well as their intense rivalry since it was a battle between the Greek/Roman and Egyptian god Pantheon. But in terms of win columns Black Adam has that in spades when it comes to their battles I believe.

What I'm talking about is power scaling wise, since both Shazam (Draws his power from the Greek/Roman Pantheon) and Black Adam (draws his power from the Egyptian Pantheon).
