I have two of these variegated conifers from Mr. Maple the 'Oculus Draconis' and the 'Silberspitz'. The 'Oculus' is doing wonderful and putting on new growth, I've only had the 'Silberspitz' 2 weeks she's still in the pot looking for a spot in the garden. #Japanesemapels

Question: I am looking for a blue conifer that is narrow at the base but grows fairly fast in pyramidal shape for zone 6B . Something like a weeping white spruce but blue. Any ideas?

Very diverse group so lots of different types. Really just depends on the type

Are any invasive that you should not put near a Japanese Maple?

Some can be as there is a wide range. Something like a bad cypress can have huge roots so it Ranges a lot. Near can be relative too. With most dwarf evergreen conifers 5-6 ft wouldn’t be to close for roots

Van hoey Smith has not done well in the deep south for me and frosty pin is not as hardy as zabrina,,,and as I said ,,,,for me....
