You are one of the few people I’ve ever seen actually have an Albo deliciosa large form, it’s very clear to see that the small form plant grows differently. It’s the most rare color as apparently many turn minty as they mature and don’t keep the white. I have a juvenile Large form and I’m so excited to watch it grow. I have the Thai and a regular green juvenile all growing up side by side in normal humidity.

I was in such a panic when i saw brown on my leaves but is it okay to just spray them with water? I dont have the room for a cabin or a humidifier
@GoodGrowing Жыл бұрын
it's pretty normal for the white parts of the leaves to go brown if they don't get enough humidity. You could try misting but that doesn't increase humidity much long term either. It may just be something you have to live with 🤷♀️

So will a west window be good for light? And I also have a plant light

It depends how much direct sun it gets. Direct sun can easily burn the delicate white parts of the leaves

I just recently received my variegated monstera about 1 week ago. The plants leaves are dying. Since repottnig the leaves are browning and it is browning very quickly. We just cut off a large portion of the dead spots today. How do I prevent this? The brown spots are spreading since receiving the plant. Since receiving the plant we repotted & watered once (today to be specific). The spots are dry. We think it is one of 3 things. Thank you. 1) The plant is either receiving too much or too little sunlight from the window. The sunlight we get through the window only shines in maybe 1 hour or 2 max a day. Not a lot of light 2) It is next to a vent that pushes heat. The vent is uncovered slightly to allow heat into the room since the room can get cold. 3)The plant is too dry from underwatering (I do not think this is the problem) or the room is not humid enough. Thank you for your help!

Hey there! Can you let me know how far away you keep your grow light and what the wattage of your grow light is? I have a 32 watt grow light and I don’t know how far away to keep the light.
@GoodGrowing3 жыл бұрын
It's tough to know how to keep it as it really depends on the light. Best bet would be to get a light metre (you can get phone apps) and look up the best light for your plant
@jennyclattenburg46982 жыл бұрын
Great tips! I'm still confused about the lighting though. You mention indirect light, but that you place your albo under a grow light?

@GoodGrowing3 жыл бұрын
Can you put it on a high shelf or somewhere out of their reach or in a room they can't go in? Other than that I'm not sure what you can do other than training your cats not to go near it. I've heard rubbing citrus peels on the leaves makes them smell unappealing to cats so that may be worth a try
