WOOOW. A few people have recommended your leca videos to me. My thai constellation has been in Leca for about a year after 3 bouts of root rot in soil, and she's finally happy! I am highly considering moving my albo into leca now too...

I guess it's just your preference and if you're willing to take the risk 😬 Looking back, it still gives me anxiety 🤣. Best of luck if you decide to do it!! 💚

HI! My net pot is a 10ich net pot. I personally haven't experienced those issues =/ Maybe you need to have more air circulation? Or lower the humidity a bit? Perhaps changing to a chunky soil mix and watering it less.

@kevin.3 жыл бұрын
Hey! I don't but I've wanted to experiment with that! All I hear is great things and definitely makes sense for root health. Haha I have to be so thankful that nothing went horribly wrong when I did it. It's definitely scary! You don't necessarily need to grow in LECA. You can just fix certain things like watering the plant more, taking it out of terra Cotta, etc. Plant can thrive in a good potting mix too! ☺️💚
@abbylaurente48303 жыл бұрын
Bec of ur vids, am almost ready to switch some of my plants to leca+hydrophonics. A question tho, how do u handle the roots that shoots out of the net pot? Do u just cut them(roots) out whenever u need to transfer to a bigger pot? Or do u cut the actual net pot?
@kevin.3 жыл бұрын
Hey Abby! I would definitely start off slow with just a few plants just to see what happens 💚 I usually leave them as is. I find that my monsteras are just fine with the roots sitting in the nutrient solution. Syngoniums seem to act the same way. There are some plants that don't like it though so I tend to cut them. I find that anthuriums don't like to sit in water for too long. If I have to, I cut the net pot which makes me sad 😅
@orchidobsession50812 жыл бұрын
I'm curious about how you trim off the browned roots by yourself. I have some that I'd like to remove but I can't set it down because of the roots at the bottom. :O Also, I'm curious about what you do when the roots at the bottom has grown so much that the ball is pretty tight. Do you switch to a taller bucket or just keep it in the same bucket? Sorry for the newbie question...
