As a Voli main one of the things that I appreciate the most is that his in game model is freaking huge, Im serious he has the biggest champ model, excluding cho after he chomped some people. So building the mythic item that gives sizes is sooo cool for me who likes the big chonks

Fun fact: Volibear have two CANON looks, Classic and Thousand Pierced Bear. First one is form that shows strength of Freljord's nature, while the second one, more eldritch, shows form of terror of battle. Volibear is Spirit God (like Anivia, Ornn (who are his siblings - there also few more like Boar and Sister of Seals) and also Janna and Kindred) and thus his form can change based on what is image of him in minds of his followers. Very similar thing happenes with Kindred (as Spirit Blossom skin is Ionian form of Kindred) and Fiddlesticks who is Ur-Demon, the strongest of all demons (Spectral, Risen, Pumpkinhead, Fiddle Me Timbers).

Voli ulting into his E just as it appears onto an enemy is terrifying to experience if you’re the enemy getting e ulted onto and extremely satisfying if you’re the Voli. Even if you don’t win the fight, you feel unstoppably terrifying in those first few seconds of fighting, which is a feeling not even fiddle R gets you at times. It feels like being a jackal diving onto an enemy and ravishing them before they can even respond, amazing design

My favorite part of Volibear how his gameplay reflects his lore so much. He rejects weapons and man-made creations to instead tear with tooth and claw. That's his Q and W. Not only are they literally tooth (W) and claw (Q), but they are treated as more or less treated as basic attacks, which are as raw and "wild" as it gets. They're also resets, so when he gets on top of you, he rips you apart with autos, Qs, and Ws, just like a wild bear might do: fast and wild. And then outside of that, you get his godly powers with passive, E, and R. Also with his R, it embodies what Volibear becomes when his followers worship him. He becomes more massive and wreathed in lightning. Truly a perfectly designed champion.

I really love his complete kit. Its like a tool box with answers for every enemy and situation. Shen: perfectly designed His e dash works with his q, spirit blade, to let you get the strong q His w and e also work well with his ult, when you come out of it you can w to protect your ally and e to take the fire away from them He also has built in weaknesses, specifically with his ult. Since you have no waveclear other than autos, you have to think ahead of time to when you might ult and fix the wave accordingly. I don't feel Shen is that well designed actually. His R being global utility leaves his kit with an impossible dilemma: either he can hold his own in lane just with QWE and be overpowered as hell (current situation) or he can't and be completely useless. And to compund this problem his Q deals %max HP damage giving him free scaling all game long (maybe changing that for flat damage would be a good solution... would still make him oppressive as hell early but at least he'd fall off considerably and have his late game performance rely on proper R usage).

Alr has anyone seen voli build a rift maker for sustain, nashers for auto speed, horizon for e, and death cap to top it off? The bear already has good hp, armor, and mr growth. So he’s just tanks with rift, sustained dmg from rift while also getting heals off his passive since rift gives Omni-vamp. Then the other items make him like a burst champ. So he’s like a walk time bomb that can’t be killed. So yes I agree the big bear is balanced in all ways

Just do it, go pta, run to a squishy enemy with the q movespeed, prowlers onto them for the inmediate stun, then auto w and finally ult them, q auto w procs pta which increases damage dealt with ult Items: since prowlers mythic passive gives lethelity, buying just prowlers and maybe youmuu/sanguine blade is enough, and then either go bruiser items, like steraks cleaver and the likes, or go on-hit items like blade of the ruined king, wits end etc Good luck

I think the best thing about new Voli is just how versatile he is. It's the same exact reason why I love Gangplank, GP can build Shieldbow, Sunderer, Duskblade, Prowlers, etc... Voli is the same, he can build Sunfire, Frostfire, Sunderer, Riftmaker, Chemtank, etc... and unlike GP where you have to stay on track with your build (If building crit, should probs keep building crit unless you need something else), Voli can just mash things together. I can build full tank then buy a Zhoynas and Banshees as well to gain some damage while still getting resistances. He has so many options, a hybrid champ, a brusier, a full tank, full AP. Also, it's a fairly well known thing at this point, but people, go play AP Voli, it's so fun. Take Hail of Blades and late game, if you even touch the ADC or other squishies, they're just gone, you can do Night Harvester or Riftmaker, and you need Nashors. Ult has a 250% AP ratio, E scales really well, and his passive, on top of nashors, you do like 200-300 magic damage on hit late game (And each stack, up to 5 stacks, gives roughly 22-25% attack speed each), easily clearing waves, poking enemies with it before fights, etc...

I wanted to point out that the reason Volibear works so well, reason that you did not mention here, is that the function of Volibear as a Catch/Tower Diver (Through Q and R) is mostly separated from his tools that cement it as a Juggernaut (Through P and W). I think the only problem with Voli’s rework is the inclusion of static shive in his passive. If SS had survived the Season 11 item rework, it wouldn’t be as annoying to deal with, as that would allow the opposing Laner to put pressure on him during lanning phase. But thanks to the removal of it, Voli’s passive now insured that he has constant unchallenged pressure on wave clear. This is because now you either respect the passive and loose out on CS, or you ignore it, taking a substantial amount of chip damage, leaving him for an easy all in.
