I read a few comments..and thought to clarify..By no way we are claiming 15% return in index funds.. I just wanted to explain , why do we assume 15%. And we are just educators not advisors.. neither do I want you to believe me.. I believe my job is not to tell you what to do.. it is to try and answer your questions to the best of my ability. This video is about understanding that markets will be volatile.. and returns are higher than the bank rate only because it is volatile or uncertain. And also people who have different views, I completely understand their point of view. Infact I believe the only way to learn is to debate argue and question. Huge respect for everyone in the field of financial literacy. Happy learning and investing. Regards, Varun Malhotra

@harshthanvi4 жыл бұрын
Interest of bank is also compound but its very low and fixed. But overall if u invest in market u will get approx 15 % as fd interest + profit of company to survive in the market if it has taken loan (MAX BIG COMPANIES TO BORROW FROM BANKS) SO 7% +5%(min.survival profit for any business) to payback loams at 12% + profits, normally business incur profits at approx 18% to 20% so better invest and earn more because of power of compounding.

But MCAP of India only include the capital of listed companies while In GDP, we include all business,(Listed and unlisted) household and government also.. So ratio of economy's growth is always better and higher than Sensex as a relative theory. @varun Malhotra
@VarunMalhotraEIFS6 жыл бұрын
MCAP does not include 'Capital' of listed companies sir, it includes Market value = No of shares outstanding * Market value of each share. Other than that you're right But we're not saying they are equal at all, what we're saying is that they are co-related and usually the correlation is 1. Increase in GDP is likely to result in Market value of listed companies over the LONG RUN. In the short run this relationship can get distorted which makes for opportunities to invest or sell out.
