The controller sounded like he was spanking the Shamrock's butt! LOL! He even went back and made sure that he had heard. It's incredible that atc was basically accusing Shamrock of trying to "get away with it." Of course Shamrock knew something went wrong and he should have told a controller right away. :))

Only problem is, people don't want to live next to an airfield. There's always someone who doesn't want to get with the program, preventing local airports from growing bigger.

@davidhoffman12786 жыл бұрын
Interesting. When there was debris on the runway, listening to JFK Kennedy Steve, it seemed the pilots at JFK were more inclined to stop and request debris removal. Here the tower controllers seemed more interested in keeping departures and arrivals on schedule. Even dirt clods can do damage if they get sucked into a jet engine.
@iatsd6 жыл бұрын
David Hoffman Americans panic instantly. Most of the rest of the planet find out what the situation actually is first before panicking.
@davidhoffman12786 жыл бұрын
iatsd, No, if you listened to many of the Kennedy Steve KZbin videos, you hear both USofA and international airline pilots request debris removal before continuing . Is this because USofA airports are more accommodating when pilots request debris to be removed? I do not know.
@rubenvillanueva27536 жыл бұрын
If something should happen to those aircraft taking off, I am sure the investigating board would cite the controller as "a contributing factor".
@xheralt6 жыл бұрын
This airport _would_ have accommodated debris removal, _if the pilot wanted_ - notice how tower kept asking "are you ok with taking off, even with debris present?". If Vueling had said "no I'm not OK" then they would have delayed departures of Vueling and those behind while they performed cleanup. As noted, American pilots would have said "OMG, clean it up!", the Vueling said "no, we're cool."
@retepaskab6 жыл бұрын
Maybe it was the position of debris why it didn't matter for them.

Pity. EI top brass are as ruthless as Ryanair's management, if the pilot's were sacked, they would have won an unfair dismissal tribunal and got their salaries for life and moved to the canaries with their new 20 year old wives from somewhere in the Baltic states. But since Willie the wanker Walsh came and left, he's kicked out all the low I.Q. board m'gement top idiots., so unfair sackings are a thing of the past now, although I've not been back to Dublin since COVID. My guess is they got an HR slap on the wrist and a pay rise until COVID knocked it back 50%.

They don't fire staff in a highly unionised company like AerLingus. Pity. But since Willie the wanker Walsh came and left, he's kicked out all the low I.Q. board m'gement top idiots., so unfair sackings are a thing of the past now, although I've not been back to Dublin since COVID (Can't afford to). superskullmaster I switched from fsx to x plane 11 the last two months, and x plane 11 is so much better than fsx and p3d. excellent night lighting,stunning clouds,amazing reflections,and astonishing realism(without add-ons) not like p3d or fsx where you need a hundred add-ons to make the game look halfway decent as x plane
@messidios15486 жыл бұрын
superskullmaster you are being really disrespectful to someone who is choosing different. Booth are good, they simulate really well but you aren’t a more experienced pilot for playing or not p3d or xplane. Respect other people’s choice

The multibillion dollar company was some guy at some point. Unfortunately, sometimes the better product does lose out to something that has a bigger company behind it. I feel wordperfect is a better word processor than Word but which is more popular?
