Hi Tom you said the player can move 2 rats up to 3 spaces. But for the sake of clarity the complete rule is that you can move ANY NUMBER (2, 3 or 4) of your rats up to 3 spaces. Best Gabriele

I haven't read the rulebook yet, but can you please explain how can you move 4 rats with 3 movement actions?

@@teypan you can move 1 rat up to 5 spaces. Or you can move 2,3 or 4 of your rats up to 3 spaces. But of course you will need to get the third and forth rat out of the nursery.

Bought it few months ago just based on a theme. Played it with 5 and really enjoyed it ! One of my family favorite games for sure ! Highly recommend!

Thanks for sharing a review for this game! My family is loving it. I even get my 4-year-old to play with me as the solo mode cards. It is really approachable with good tactical and strategical play.

The surprise so far of 2022. Solo mode is very solid as well. I also added the bot to our 2 player games and worked very well. I hope it gets nominated for the Kennerspiel next week.

I played it two times now. Once Solo and once two players. And I really really like it so far. The theme and artstyle is cute. The mechanism is interesting And the game plays fast. Now I want a sequel with the rockets of the rats. On the way to the moon😅

Just played this last friday. A great game, horrible cover but the theme is superbly implemented, and really smooth play even with 5 players. Recommendation!

You ask what sort of person wins First Rat? I would say only a complete rat can do so! 🤣 Great review! I was intending to order this game at the end of the month anyway, but you've only confirmed this is a good idea. One question which you didn't address: so is this a space race, or a rat race? 🤔

Yes. Great for gamers. Be warned though, a good gamer will plan so far ahead and the end game might come about quicker than you would think

I like how they anthropomorphized the cockroaches so they wouldn’t look so gross. 🪳🤮
