You're very lucky to have access to herbicide-free straw that's affordable. Where I live, it's close to 40 USD for one bale.

You may be able to find pea hay , like he mentioned, sooner in the season, as we were in the PNW. If you’re in the SE, that’s a HUGE challenge!

How much does it cost yo fill that bed with all those bags of gear ? Would the straw sides make it ,dehydrate quicker with windage etc,? Thanks,erry xmas

About 120-150 to fill. The straw actually reduces dehydration by cutting the wind out.

Inoculate the beds with mushroom mycelium as you fill snd you will get plenty of fruits on the sides aswel as veg on top also your soil life will increase ten fold ✌️😎
