After watching this until the end, I think Cynthia is one of greatest trainer lorewise. Starting with a dragon pseudo-legendary (who doesn't have a good starting stats) and having most pokemon of her team evolving by not so easy method to evolve, yet still have a decent firepower and coverage. While it's possible in anime Cynthia can lose to Leon/another Champion, She's one of greatest trainer and character in Pokémon franchise

In game she Captured and evolved a Togepi, with bad stats till togikiss, need friendship and will not obey a trainer if they are bad Trained Roseraide from base which is a pain in itself Captured and evolved a Riolu, requiring constant, consistant friendship or Lucario won't obey you Magicarped a Feebas, a whole thing in itself and implies knowlege of poffin making and pokemon contests Got a Spiritomb, which requires meeting 108 people in the underground I think and have the old keystone, implying she has knowlege of the underground and is good with people Went through the slog of training and evolving a Gible as her FIRST pokemon. She is cannonically stupidly intellegent on all aspects of Sinnoh, good with people, and a damn fine trainer.

If we go by the setting, without game mechanics, then yes she totally could. The real question should be, why would she even entertain the idea of becoming the Galar Champion? First, Cynthia already has her hands full between her archeologist passion and her own league, with all the problems and obligations being a Champion includes. Second of all and the most important, no Champion from another Region, least of all Cynthia, would play second fiddle to some Chairman, least of all Rose (for obvious reasons, slimy idiot). Leon did, because that is how things are run in Galar, until enough was enough and the idiot let out Eternatus.

He could do the whole Gentleman Class for a Nuzlocke. There's not a lot of heavy hitters surprisingly. Braviary, Stoutland, Arcanine, Aegislash, and Galarian Darmanitan are the best options really and that's a very interesting team already.

0:15 You could probably do a Leon run in another game , being a rom hack of an already existing one. Radical Red has all current pokemon , excluding the new ones in Legends Arceus , I believe. However it is pretty difficult. Though if you look hard enough you might be able to find a rom hack that has all of the Pokémon you're looking for , in the region you're looking for.

Well it was confirmed if I'm not wrong that her Pokemons are perfect IV and EV trained. It is the equivalent of battling Leon in the battle tower. Pretty hard, id say about as hard as Cynthia in bdsp if not harder because we can't use the power of Pokemon friendship

Leon can come close to Cynthia but she will always be the hardest champion to deal with if you don't plan for her team beforehand.

Leon doesn't even make the top 5, as in I can name 5 champions who would destroy leon with minimal effort, and y'know what I'm throwing in an honorable mention as well: 1) Cynthia duh 2) Red, he is a prodigy trainer who has only ever lost once game wise 3) Blue, another prodigy who has only ever lost to Red and Ethan 4) Steven, dude loves steel types but also has some good backup to take out fire types. 5) N, dude literally has a Zekrom and Reshiram. Honorable Mention) Volo, this motherfucker has one of the most broken lineups I've ever seen, however let's limit him to the legal 6 mons and give him Arcanine instead of replacing it with base form Giratina. While Volo's team is similar to Cynthias, it isn't a perfect duplication, in fact I'd argue Volo's mons are actually stronger than Cynthia's BDSP lineup, again only taking into consideration 6 of his pokemon and excluding giratina. Volo could sweep Leon if we ever got a timeline paradox where that happened.

@@securityguardtemmie How a rock type defeats a Pikachu? And a Mega-Charizard X and surf Lapras can really deal with a rock or steel types without problems. Venasaur can survive and deal good amounts of damage and Snorlax is Snorlax. Even Cynthia would have problems against him, because his Charizard can deal with a third of her team alone (Roserade and Garchomp), her Venasaur can defeat any annoyance, like Milotic, Spiritomb wouldn't be able to withstand for long enough, Lapras is ice type (Roserade, Garchomp, Togekiss), Pikachu against Togekiss and Milotic. Cynthia is definitely the most skilled Champion (excluding Red of course), but not the strongest. The strongest Champion level-wise (excluding Red) is Challenge Mode Iris. Admittedly it's not by much and I definitely think Cynthia would defeat Iris, especially with Glaceon and Togekiss. I believe Iris could probably beat Leon though, or at least put a MASSIVE dent in his team.

@M.B Nope. Leon is Level 80, Cynthia is Level 82, Iris is Level 83, and Red is Level 88. Skill-wise, Leon is definitely up there, and he is the second-highest level Champion on initial battle (after Diantha), but Cynthia would certifiably crush him, as shown in this very video.

@M.B What does the anime have to do with anything though? In that same anime Ash's Pikachu can easily crush legendaries without much issue. You cant put the games and the anime on the same line, they dont match up at all, the power scaling in the anime is very much out of order. Besides, they literally only said Leon won because he's the new hot champion. If Cynthia was introduced in this Generation she would be the winner. Its just meeting marketing demand.

@@pride2184 Galar I think may take a little longer? The cutscenes are SO LONG. too me like 2 hours just to get my damn pokemon and dex to even start..got to the first gym a bit later. The only thing making it so long is the cutscenes and dragging out of the dialogue and plot, if that was taken out it'd be quite short likely.
