She does have a good point about how often skill is considered unimportant in the path of fame. I mean in the real game you also only get as far as you did due to the champion endorsing you. And, the fact you need an endorsement to do the gym challenge in the first place is proof of her point. As many skilled trainer are unlikely to be given the chance to try in the first place.

As she kinda points it: fame isn't the answer but it sure makes things a lot easier. Fame doesn't always get you everything..but it does give you enough of a boost to where you can achieve things you wanted when you couldn't before without it.

It's impressive she was first - and only - trainer who knocked out my full team in my Sword Playthrough, I was not prepared for her Slowbro on first round... And having 4 Pokemon weak to poison did not help. Quickdraw is Brutal Ability at times. Also once more, Nessa shows how difficult she can be.

Strat for beating nessa that worked well in my playthrough of sword( sorry for plugging) send out a fire type on the first turn then pivot into a pokemon with absorb that's holding an absorb bulb, and spam absorb.

What's funny is that vasko didn't take the easy route for her by just making her incredibly toxic and using eternatus since it's a poison type, and instead focused on the lesser used poison types. I will say that Klara's design was good but like Avery, you could never achieve her true outfit unless you mod the game to become her.

God this makes me actually really like her and relate to her, watching your parents dream of doing something that makes them happy but not seeing them succeed and just working constantly just to make ends meet. Maybe I’m self projecting here but as someone whose lived this, she probably feels like she was a burden to her parents due to her lazy habits and just not being able to help them. Becoming famous would make their lives easier and they wouldn’t have to struggle. Her parents probably didn’t want her to work but she wanted to work anyway just to make them happy, then she saw how it didn’t change their problems. They were still poor, and no one cared. I have MASSIVE ADHD, I can’t focus on anything without getting distracted or giving up due to my own perfectionism. Constantly feeling like a disappointment my parents because i cant focus on anything or give up due to my own fear of failure. I don’t expect to have things given to me, but I see where she comes from. In a world where everyone has an advantage how do you expect to have one when you come from nothing? Hard work can only get you so far, luck and clot gets you the rest of the way there. This is also comes from a wannabe artist, writer and animator. When everyone’s worked hard, how do you expect to stand out? What makes you better then the twenty your up against. In Pokémon you can win by wit and skill, in the real world you win by charisma not skill. Even the best artists are forgotten by algorithms.

I think it’s Melody and Gordie that confirm the minor and major league gyms of the cities are swapped between Sword and Shield which is where the exclusive gyms come from

I would love to see a could hop become champion so that vasko could learn how to judge what Pokemon to be further then just what type specialty they use since hop doesn't have one though if I had to pick a Pokemon that bea would use I would say gallade it fits her specialty it makes sense for her to use it to negate the psychic weakness and it has a weird evolution like her other pokemon like having to use a obscure stone on a male kirlia fits right in with land 3 critical hits in one battle trade me get me to evo level with my defense and attack stats equal

she's absolutely right about fame and how a lot of the gym challenges really only got in and made it as far as they did because of that fame. Take hop for instance. He only got endorsed because he is the champions brother otherwise he never would've been. Same with our character really, we only got the endorsement because we had a connection to Leon as well. Marnie was likely endorsed by her brother, Bede by chairman Rose on a whim, etc. None of the random nothing trainers actually make it to the end at all, only the famous ones do.
