Vaterra vs Axial

Just received my first Vaterra truck today and decided to do little test compare with two of my Axial trucks. The red one is stock SCX10 with front mounted battery and orange one which has lots of upgrades.

I have six of the Ascenders, shocks are what make the c10 incredible. You should check out how capable the Suburban Ascender is. Don’t have and SCX10 for some reason. Have 4 gen 8’s and can’t get enough of them bro. You picking up a Redcat?

Looks like you’ve drove the two Axial plenty, have you not had the ascender very long. Looks like a new driver but your smooth with the other 2. Upgraded usually means having longer but not in all cases. Sweet tests brother!

Axial FTW! I have axial and I have Vaterra also and I'll take an Axial any day of the week, mainly because of the after market following. I had to order team associated spur gear just to upgrade to 32p gears on the Vaterra because no one makes one for the Vaterra. It's a good truck but it sucks upgrading it because of the lack of aftermarket following. Axial on the other hand... you name it and you can find it!

Garry Bailey Yeah, it’s very hard to find any upgrades for Vaterra but I still like the truck but of course my favourite is SCX10😉

Yes the Vaterra is a great truck just like the Axial. The only limiting factor is the aftermarket support which is growing....

Every time I hear I hear people screaming axial. It just makes me laugh. They used to have all kinds of good stuff back in the day and then it just turned into more plastic more plastic more plastic. So then you had to just buy more to upgrade it just a scam. I understand bandwagon boys don't understand this but it's the truth. The vaterra trucks are really cool and more customizable in terms of the fact that they can extend their body chassis to a numerous different links and they're just as tough as axial and I haven't seen any difference in their performance . I've been doing this stuff for over 10 years and watching these crawlers Drive really doesn't say much other than the fact that someone prefers one one-brand over the other. In short I say get whatever you feel that you can afford have fun with it and drive it and you know what it will be better than any other truck you see on KZbin because you were having fun with it. I personally have an old HPI Crawler King and a old Venom creeper kit with front dig and a Tamiya Bruiser. A Traxxas Summit that I put a 8th scale brushless system in and countless other nitro cars so it just depends on what you want to have fun with.

Very good video. From what i can see the Vaterra looks lighter then the two Axial's but not bad for Stocker. You should do a weight comparison with all 3.

No, it’s a SCX10 Jeep Wrangler G6 kit with mods 😉 now is completely rebuilt to Land Rover D90 truggy which you can see in my latest videos 😉

Sadly those kits are discontinued :( they more pushing on SCX10 II now. This was my first crawler and that’s why I bought the kit to understand how it’s built and how it works.

UViDS I just told my mom he would probably say it’s not for sale lol. Also it’s a really nice truck. I would say Jeep but someone said it was a g6 or something and I want one to modify but I only have a axial wraith and a 2012 Jeep rubicon axial but you have 3 REALLY NICE trucks
