Can you just buy a new key with the same ohms and have it cut ? Will that work without having to do the bypass ?

Thats correct.as long the ohms are the same as the oem came with the original,there is no need for program.

Mine too is a 98 camaro, the gaz pump works but the starter wont turn, sometimes it start, the only difference when it wont start is that the tingtingting sound is disabled when the key is in the contact, can the anti theft system is going off without the security light ?, or the computer is dammed?

Once you put the key in the ignition send out the the signal to the pcm

So I her u can just turn car to no position for roughly 10 minutes or so and it automatically will turn off the security have you ever seen that or tried it just curious

Wont work cuz the pcm need to be power as well the body control module to recognize the key and that's why every car needs to turn the key to the on position..

This bypass only works if you have a original key and this has to be working...

In other words the bypass take place of the key ...then u can make metals copies and start the car with a none vat key..
