This is a bit hilarious, what other type of "reunion" could be apart from Peter Hook rejoining the rest of the band? Ian Curtis from the heaven?

The dual guitar solos at the end are the soul of a great rock n' roll song, so Bo Didleyish, Berryesque. Rock n' Roll, god gave it to you, Don't know where rap came from !

I think he wrote the lyrics as half tongue-and-cheek American Country, but I think it's one of their best and heaviest even if he didn't mean to.

Good video--nicely edited, back and forth between various band members, crowd shots, etc--not just the singer. Plenty of hooks by Hook!

Peter Hook always feels like the “Rock Star” in the band, no wonder he went solo to be main attraction n stuff! Lol
@BobbyCUFC984 жыл бұрын
Zhorell Ski I understand the premise, but... as much as New Order are better with Hooky, Hooky similarly absolutely needs New Order.

He "went solo" because both sides of that battle act like children. If Peter was as in the right as he claims then I have a hard time believing 3 decades old band mates would turn on him. On the flip side Bernard certainly deserves his fair share of criticism for being pissed at Peters side gigs and DJing. They have been together as band mates and friends for well over 4 decades, surviving the suicide of their friend and band mate on the eve of their breakout. I don't presume to "get" their dynamics and hate seeing any disparigment on either side. They are all a fuck load more musicly talented than you or I, and ego tends to run high in talented musicians. Enjoy them both and let them figure out the "issues".

He is a prick , saw him clock an enthuatstic kid in Athens with the neck of his bass guitar , twas disgusting . Saw him later in Cork when he called us a bunch of stupid Paddy's . .most of the audience walked out .Rock star me hole .

A failed rock star, unable to write a decent song since his last album with Monaco was released, twenty years ago. Hooky is full of sh*t.

Steve Brown & R. ROOKSBY I don't understand what this song being awful(a matter of opinion) has to do with Hook leaving. If you watch this show kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3iTmYGfbtyne7s Which is 2009, 4 years after this one they killed it. They never sounded better. Same line up for the most part. My question is what does this have to do with anything? It seems that you both are in agreement with something. I'm a huge Peter hook fan. He's one one the greatest bass players of all time. In fact if somebody put a gun to my head and said "tell me who is the greatest bassist of all-time hurry or I'll blow your fucking brains out?!" I'd scream Peter Hook! There's about 7 guys in the top five on my list: hook, flea, geddy, all 3 from Metallica & sting. People will always start saying the ones I left off erstwhile, Pink Floyd guy blah blah blah my response is always ehhh they suck. Back on topic, to me the whole holocaust between hook and Bernard was tragic and really ugly. I lean towards hook but I'm still a fan of Sumner.
