Both videos are so informative. Nice to know our loved ones are taken care of by people who care so much. Thank you.

Fellow vault guy here. Lol I like seeing how others do this job. I want to make videos showing what I do but I'm not sure if I would get in trouble.

I work with concrete vaults more than metal ones.

good work Grave Digger this one is tricky since it is on a hill so the boards will have to be elevated before the lowering device is placed over the grave.

That is what they were doing amd explaining in the video.... Lol

I’m a Wilbert worker in Washington St. your vaults look so different from ours! I had to turn down a Wilbert Way service yesterday because of a incline. The level part of the scaffold was just above the thigh and the vault weighing 2500 and the lid 600 on a ovation…. I wasn’t comfortable doing the service.

Why didn’t you use Johnny handler?

The vault uses the same principal as the Clark Vault.

You should invest in riding blocks or some good 6x6 blocks, Doric vault uses a bunch blocks like you did and it’s dangerous, I’ve built up over my head

How do you get the wire rope back once the coffin is lowered in?
@336ballistics22 жыл бұрын
There are two small mounds of dirt under the vault that creates enough space for the cables to be removed once everything has been lowered into place.

I don't like the new concrete vaults most use today. I remember my great-grandparents' graves having heavy steel vaults in the 70's-early 80's

didn't know they made vaults out of metal, thought it was concrete only which would last and hold up.

Metal is the best these are watertight the concrete vaults are too porous unless you get the one with the liner.

Airseals (bottom seals) don't work. Everyone I was ever next to, the water flooded my hole. Get a concrete top seal.
@donaldswink62594 жыл бұрын
Does that vault have a seal on the bottom to keep water out.

ever see when they exhume. loaded with water. Waste of money. The dead are laying in cold nasty water...
@JamesDavis-ck8uu3 жыл бұрын
Donald, hope this message finds you well, on burial vaults I make the seal is on the top. The lid is 600 lbs the base is roughly 2500 lbs. I work at a Wilbert plant making the vaults. A vault is sealed, where as the liner or lawn crypt do fill with water because they are not sealed with a plastic liner pre pour.
