GM island wasn’t too too hard to get to at the time, create a night elf priest with it’s super fast mama regen, swim and heal yourself when you had fatigue. I remember doing it many years ago and exploring around till I got bored. A shaman that went by the name of Reznik Shaman showed many ways to do it at the time by water walking, engineering boots, ect.

Getting to GM island was actually really easy. There use to be a hole in the boundary on a specific wall in Stormwind. You just go through that, and you could run and swim your way there. At lower levels during wrath and cata, druids Rejuv would tick for so much, ir would out heal the fatigue damage. Do this long enough in the right direction, and boom, ur on GM Island.

They actually didn’t typically ban people if they got caught there. The one time I got caught there they just teleported me out and the gm whispered me not to do it again. I had actually gone there a couple times before I got caught

I got there just taking my time and healing through fatigue. Then I found a GM sitting there afk with his god mode off, and since he was a level 1 Night Elf, I killed him. Then explored a bit and hearthed away. When the Gm came back tot he game he teleported me to him, asked me why I did that, killed me with a command, rezzed me, teleported me to a chair in a sealed room, told me I wasn't supposed to be here and told me I was getting banned, and then logged me out and when I logged back in it said I was banned for a Month. I guess on later thought though he thought it was in fact funny because I was able to log in a week later. That or the game being super buggy, the weekly reset reset my ban. lol

Before Cataclysm, I used to use Far Sight on my Shaman to travel around Kalimdor. When you did it that way, you were able to get to places you couldn't normally. One time I used it to travel from Org to Dire Maul and was able to go in the walls and underground. Since Cata, they remodeled everything to be solid, and I think they even restricted how it works, so you have to be in line of sight.

You forgot to mention that if i remember correctly there where some grave stones allso. And i met a gm who i talked to and later he teleported me back and no punichment was indoruced. Number 2, on GM Island, the room under the mountain was used before Wotlk for GM interviews. And was also used as a GM rewards, party room. After Cat hit, It was stopped for use.

Once ago you have to be a lv one priest that use the waterwalk potion and than you can "run" to the GM Island. To Avoid the Fatigue you only have to use your shield spell because the Fatigue was % Dmg. Maybe i have forgotten some extra buffs or potions but this was one way to get "legal" to the gm island.

Just an fyi, if memory serves me correctly, you could get to old GM Island (located in the Southern Sea of Kalimdor) by swimming there with a level 1 priest. Mana regenerated quickly, so as you were damaged by the fatigue, you just simply healed yourself as you swam. Later on, although GM Island wasn't removed from Kalimdor itself, either the water which made it accessible was removed or it was moved elsewhere within some empty space belonging to the continent's map. After that, you had to use a model edit patch to access it. I remember using one that made essentially a textureless landmass bridge from the back end of Teldrassil all the way over to the Island lol. Good times.

I been to GM island in the good old days. It was easy if you had a file. You just jump on the zeppelin in Ogrimmar and then exit game and put the file in warcraft folder and then enter game and the zeppelin would pass the island and then you jump off. We summoned hundreds of players there it was packed with people.

you did not get perma banned for going to GM island. you got teleported out and perma stunned by a GM character that then talked to you and gave you a warrning. and yes that white room with the chair was used a few times but most of the time they just teleport you to them and perma stun you so you can't run.

You could get to gm island without hacks Pre TBC and during TBC. there was no hacking needed I did it many times and the worst i got was teleport off the island and a wisper from a GM telling me not to return or risk a ban. If you where a druid with swim form and and had a few tuber roots some swiftness potions and health potions you could easily overcome the fatigue as it only damaged you when it got low and you could heal through it. Water walking + Goblin Rocket boots + Druid cat sprint ( i forgot name ) + potion of swiftness + health potion a tuber root and a few rejuvenations and you where there no problem. Myself and another druid even managed to keep a warlock alive long enough to get them there once and we made money offering summons to Gm Island. Also the " Jail cell room " was accessible without hacks from the island . It was just a square hole you fell into. I feel like you are going based off of poor research in regards to Gm Island. The main reason it took people so long to find it was because it was not visible from Teldrassil unless you swam out quite a ways and then you would only see the silhouette of the island. Someone Noticed it either from fooling around from sheer bordem waiting for TBC or stumbled into it while wondering around as a ghost which was a common thing as there where ghost NPC's hidden around the game that you could only see dead. Gm Island was Removed when flying was allowed for obvious reasons.

I went to GM Island many many years ago, found it incredibly boring and didn't stay long. The thieves that steal accounts hit me once stole everything of value, sold off all my gear and left my character sitting alone on the side of a cliff face, jumping and dying was the only way out. I have been a "victim" of a DDOS attack in WoW. The guy arrested for repeated DDOS attacks was initially trying to hamper another guild but when he was banned after that, he did his DDOS attacks to get back at Blizzard for banning him. Today in 2021 farmers are doing something crazy with multiple copies of a class character all lined up killing critters for purposes really not known by me. But they tend to kill everything you need including your quest critters. Kind of sucks really.

What's funny is in FFXIV they have an interrogation room like that. Streamers who are caught breaking TOS have been on Twitch when they've been locked inside and given a talking to by the staff, with punishments handed out. They will actually drag them there and tell them they'll be suspended for X days and have Y taken from them, and make them reply that they understood before being booted off. It's implied that being a jerk to them during this results in harsher punishments.

I worked as a GM on the EU realms back in vanilla/tbc and we never used the interrogation room nor do I think anyone working there at the time knew it's purpose. I do remember a GM getting killed by players on the island though. He forgot to log out his character and left it visible with invulnerability turned off. Screen shots were on the forum shortly thereafter. ;)

@@ashwean I believe you, in wotlk my brother was doing halls of lightning and there was something wrong with a boss so they couldn't kill it or something, they spoke to someone and got ported into a square room with white tiles and rainbow lights, same as the one in the vid so the instance could be reset and they put them back and increased their size. That was the first time I ever saw it myself.

from what i remember GM island was accessed with WoW map editor software. people edited the game on their side which would look like flat tile land, but to everyone else they would not see it. they could walk on it and everything. so they used this to get across the long walk across the water to GM Island. GM's where rarely there and when they where they where mostly just afk there. they also used the software at one point to edit WoW battlegrounds like Warsong Gulch. made a platform that let you walk across the map in a straight line above everyone else. so u could cap everything easily without being touched.

A shortcut is just a flaw in game setup mechanics when a game bans you for that there just lashing out at you for being superior to their mindset

I like your videos, but you really need to slow it down with the adverbs. "Probably," "However," "Pretty" - you use them all waaaaaay too much. For a start, just try making at video without using the word "actually." That's definitely the one you abuse the most. Maybe after you've gotten a handle on that, work on cutting down the number of times you repeat yourself. You say things like, "the Elemental Force enchantment actually enables you to do insane DPS. Literally, the DPS with this enchant is just...it's just insane. Like, if you get this enchant on your two-hander you will probably see your DPS actually become just insane." Just say, "the Elemental Force enchantment on a two-hander enables it to do insane DPS." Much cleaner and less exhausting to listen to. Like I said, you have good content, but you really need to work on your presentation. I hope this helps!

You know.. you actually sound so much like another commentator that I actually remembered making a comment that was pretty much like this. Pretty much the entire video actually became so redundant that I pretty much had to actually make a comment to pretty much point it out.
