@@carhelpforyou I have 2018 1.5 Turbo Petrol Insignia and it has 44,000 miles on it. I recently did servicing in Halfords. How often should i have to do EGR cleaning ? Thanks

@@MrHunk1989 you don’t need to clean the egr on a vehicle unless it’s giving issues that said Most car manufacturers recommend cleaning the EGR valve using an EGR cleaner every 50,000 miles drive of your vehicle.

@Car Help For You great video-have the same car with same engine. I needed to clean EGR and I was going good myself without tutorial,because there were none-but then I got stucked with removing big black pipe (the clip is very hard to move and I was scared of breaking it),so i gived up and only cleaned the front and the back silver pipe-but EGR is still cloged. Now with your video - I can do it without stress 😅 If you get to clean DPF off-car for this model,please make a video of doing it from begining 😁

Hi, have you worked on the Insignia B GSi Diesel at all? Got that very same issue but it looks very different under the bonnet compared to the one in the video. I’m also not the most mechanically minded owner out there 😂. Any kind of advice would be great before I have to take it somewhere. Cheers, Ady

Where are you guys based? My Insignia A has the same engine as the Insignia B and my engine is caped with carbon, would like it properly cleaned by you guys if possible depending where you are based

You say about "the pipe" big black one you have tied back. What is that pipe called please. Is it a intercooler pipe

Yea it’s known as the inter cooler pipe

Mostly known as a Turbo 'Boost Pipe' on the Insignia Facebook groups , they're mentioned most days as quite often the blow straight off the throttle body, putting the car into limp mode, a very common problem. The boost pipe in the video has a small bracket to fix it on as the guy showed us, but the earlier cars don't.

Hi to Steve w I had my boost pipe plastic clip fail/break d so I cut it off and put s a pice of rubber tube off an old intercooler boost pipe and jubilee clips on, I had to put a screw through the rubber into the plastic to stop it sliding off when it got max boost/full throttle. A new plastic boost pipe would have cost 120£🙈
