Vauxhall / Opel Mokka running bad. P0300 random misfire

All videos that help someone are good videos my friend. If you are a mechanic then we have all done coil and plugs on those engines. You think my now vauxhall would have designed that weak link out. Anyway once again thank-you Peter. Not much misfire videos on mokka so I'm sure you get plenty of views as they all fail this way

Maybe the coil burnt out because of the spark plug gap.

I wouldn’t get too complicated yet. Is the Coill of good quality ( cheaper parts don’t work) or I have seen a slight crack at the base of the white porcelain to cause the similar problem 🤞🤞🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Good video Peter with a proper fix. Plugs and coils. I wonder if you had a traction light on because of the miss. Maybe system cuts fuel for traction rather than applying the brakes.

Traction control module likes to know what is going on with the engine management in order for it to work correctly, (ie. is the driver looking for more power ) & if it’s not happy with what it sees from engine management it could choose to just not operate. So yes you are correct. Bloody electronics 😂😂👍

I have a 13 mokka 1.6 petrol. Rattle at startup and misfires only on cold engine. New coil pack and plugs. No check engine light though.

It’s hard for me to give you a good direction to go without seeing the car but I would start with the basics and make sure one of the plugs didn’t get cracked on fitting. It can easily happen & I have gotten caught out on it before. Other than that look at the coolant temperature sensor 🤔🤔🤔

After taking my car to 2 garages no one could find the prob I brought a coil pack bingo it cured the problem thanks a million

What I did notice Kevin was Delphi engraved on the side of it under the Bosch sticker. Who knows what you would be buying 🤔 Hopefully it will last long than the original 3 or 4 years 🤷🏼‍♂️ Thanks Kevin 👍

Thanks for the video. Did you find the head lights would be flickering under the miss firing conditions? I replaced the coil pack, and it was fine for a week, but now the lack of power is back, and lights dipping. Spark plugs my next move?

I didn’t check the headlights on this vehicle at all. But it is very possible due to the alternator turning erratically 😉👍👍👍

Vauxhall have had this problem for years, multiple missfire is usely the coil pack 👍

I wouldn’t be great on memorising fault codes but P0300 is a random misfire. P0301 misfire on no.1 , P0302 is no.2 & so on. Every day is a school day 😉👍

Hi, thank's for the great video👍, our car doesn't have any fault lights but judders under higher revs, if I change the coil pack do you have to have that code reader to take any faults off before driving the car, cheers.

@@barts3845 it would be nice but not necessary. Change the coil and plugs, disconnect the battery when working on it and it should be fine 😉

I changed the spark plugs put new ones there same problem only to discover oil is leaking to the plugs
