Finally! A good runner. Happy for ya Sam. Loved the whistle. Turned the volume up so I could hear how loud it was. Liked the "sneak peek" too. Didn't see anything yer hand blocked, even though i replayed it 4 times, wink wink. Grandma's truck IS unique. Extended cab to start, with a bush bar and a flatbed, it is very unique. And with the man's-mission, in my neck of the woods, it's also rare. Like I said earlier, happy for ya Sam. Keep 'em coming, we're here for ya.

I don’t always have the time to watch your videos, but I do enjoy them, and it’s fun to watch. I have a 24 valve ‘00 I’m making plans for, as long as the wife doesn’t find out 😬. A lot of the things I’m planning I watched you do first, so THANK YOU! Anyway, I thought I saw a bun in the oven on one of your other videos, maybe you’ve addressed that, maybe not, but congratulations anyway.

Good video Sam. I want to know what was wrong with the 24 valve engine. My money is on a bad piston. Do a video tearing down. I’m looking for pre 98 that the seller doesn’t know what they have so I can get it cheap that I can do a p-pump 24 valve on.

FWIW, Tork Tek recommends not using the stock or aftermarket adjustable overflow valve with an electric lift pump like FASS/Air Dog. Look up Tork Tek OFV050HP, that's what I'm running on my '94 12 valve and it helped with pressure loss at WOT, having to mess with tuning and inconsistent fuel pressure, or worrying about springs/check valves when they're not needed. However, you do have to adjust pressure at the lift pump with this style of overflow valve.

4th gen life hack on the oil filter... take the 5 minutes to take the air box out and intake tubes, its still possible to pull the oil filter and bring it out that way, i do it all the time on my 4th gen and my fathers 4th gen. way less mess, also can buy a "cap" for the oil filter from genos garage

What's your take on Shell Rotella vs Valvoline since you do a significant amount of oil changes. Noticed you were using Valvoline, which is factory recommended, but I have seen some examples from wear tests and lubricity tests that shows Shell is a little better on protecting parts from wear. Just looking for your opinion on diesel oils.

I’ve always ran rotella but trying valvoline right now. Oil change around 5k

@@VBELTandSON Cool, gonna start doing my own oil changes and was thinking of switching to rotella because I do not trust the dealerships. Not sure if you saw my comment on a previous video regarding your check engine on one of the trucks (Purple truck?) regarding AlfaODB? I haven't used it yet because I have an 18 and need the security code to program the computer but should let you change your ECM to manual trans.

@MY-bw2nb3 жыл бұрын
Damm your tough a doo list is just as long as mine I'm so far behind i think that I'm ahead lol One thing about having lots of projects on the go that need to get done is you dont have time to cry about failures just need to git r done and move on. I have a deere in a million pieces taking up space in my shop since spring have 2 other Deere's clawing at the door wanting to get in for the winter and then 3 more other tractors wanting in. My wife keeps asking me if I'll remember how to put it back together considering it totally gutted all started with the previous owner had it at dealer and they put a seal in backwards took out clutch and pto bearing i figured I'm into it that far might as well do some bushings and fix the leaks at least i have the other 2 Deere's to look at if i forget where something goes then 3 more other tractors after that got plagued with breakdowns didn't have time to fix needed things done so just go buy another cheap running one so now going to be a busy winter plus I still need to go cut more fire wood to keep my ass warm while working in shop. Good luck with this engine hope it works well for you 👍👍👍🚜🚜🚜💨💨💨💨💨 Yes its 4 am here i find that I get more done when nobody is bugging me and no phone ringing all the time. Time to shut it down and get few hours sleep and get at it again.
