My favorite part about that knife, is it looks so slapdash that you'd almost think no effort was put into it, but by watching the video of it being made, you know it was a lot more effort than it should have been. So simple, and yet, so much joy comes out of it.

One year my Dad and Uncle Arthur bought Christmas presents for each other, my Dad thought about it and knew my Uncle liked to fix up motorcycles so he bought him a decent brand socket set, he had to go a couple of towns over to find one at a proper tool suppliers, he wrapped it up in Christmas paper and put it under the tree, My Uncle gave him a couple of tinned hams and a jar of pickle in a brown paper bag, literally grabbed them out of the cupboard as he walked out the door to come visit. Even better are these, toolmonger.com/2009/07/17/turn-you-drill-press-into-a-planer/ They work 100 times better on any mill than the drill press they were designed for. Think of it as a 3" diameter 3 tooth face mill for parts of dead tree cadavers. A more standard fly cutter could work, but I think you'd really need a pretty strange and seriously hooked tooth shape to get them to cut cleanly.

Your videos are great. In the last 2 days i watched 15-20 Videos, i am now a Mechanical engineer, Callipers got in my pocket out of nowhere, i grew a beard, i have hair on my whole body and my voice is as deep as if i would be chain smoking for 25 years.

I'm always envious of the marvelous machines I see on your channel, and the incredible work. I then realize the talent and experience and money involved. So I open a beer and take a nap.

"Yield to oncoming traffic"?? No Tony...no, that is the sign for "danger", the "yield" is upside down in relation to that one. I can feel the faith in me draining as I type the last words of total devotion, hopefully you will restore my faith in the coming year. I will most certainly keep watching your videos vigilantly, in search for signs of truth. Stay safe fallen one. ..and merry x-mas :)

@@PatrickPease that being said, it was a much different type of "creater project" that involved adding to an existing thing to make "something". I would still like to see AvE apart of this next year!

Good to see that your cnc mill is up and running, Tony. Very well made, that gift to Colin, I would say! Cool that you guys, that we watch, are giving each other presents. Makes the world a little better for us all, when we get to see what is possible to make in a good workshop. Merry Christmas to you all.
