The big problem with plastic is actually manufacture, not disposal. Plastic recycling is less polluting than initial manufacture, and that's the main reason to recycle. Ditto but more so for aluminium. Waste aluminium is hardly a pollutant, as it's inert, but mining and smelting is terrible, so recycling is good.

Ok this is where I can finally contribute! :D Quick advice: 1:55 you can actually cut the threads in the lathe with a tap same as you do with the cutting-die! By propping up the wrench on the centering taper on the tailstock, trick is to slide tailstock into the back of the tapping wrench, lock the tailstock, lock the wrench down on the side (same concept when you use a breaker arm propped down onto the ground and turn the key to use engine starter on car to unbolt the main pulley on the engine) spin the lathe chuck till the thread tap grabs steel in the piece, unlock tailstock and run the lathe at lowest rpm till she's done (or just put the lathe in neutral and spin the chuck), the chuck spinning will keep the thread tap going through, dragging the whole tailstock with it just like you're doing it with the cutting-die!

I have a Alaskan Malamute Lab and he is bigger than a Malamute but he has the same lab eats everything mindset but the difference is he can get to the bread and butter on the kitchen counter and if the food is close enough to the edge he doesn't even have to put his two huge paws on the counter

I've built automatic dog feeder before, and would not use spinning spoons. I used a spin disk under a funnel where the dry dog food is stored. As the disk spins it flings the food down a shoot into a dish at the bottom. In Texas as you were mentioning about sending stuff to that state----they make and sell deer feeding machines that use a very similar approach of a spinning disk.
