Love your content and no BS reviews. Bang for buck I’m going Hart all day especially when they’re on sale. They’re 3/8 impact is a little beast with a 4ah battery, as is the 2 speed 1/2” drill driver. Hart hit it out of the park with their choice of colors for the tool line up. Mikita gold bits are my favorite. Milwaukee bits have the largest share of real estate in my tool boxes and bags. I just bought this set today. It seems to come with a magnetic sleeve for magnetizing each bit. The case is well built and holds each bit tight yet can let them out easily when pulled and wont break as the case seems to be made of a high grade plastic that does have some flex to it so when taking bits out and putting them back in it does flex and had a nice hold on each. Im impressed. As soon as their big mechanics tool box goes on sale i will buy it as well.

Maybe I'm weird, but I've never put much thought into it. When I need a kit, I just pick up whatever, and I use it until most of the bits are gone. I don't think twice about throwing away tools/bits that aren't up to snuff. I figure that they don't work as well, and there's always the risk of getting hurt. Right now the kit that I'm using is a DeWalt. I like the box, and there's room to throw in a couple extra things like an extra extension. I do have a few 1/4" nut drivers that are magnetized. I used to pick them up at supply houses when I did ductwork. I like magnetized bits, but have never really had a problem when they aren't. After watching this review I'm almost certainly going to pick up this kit next time I'm in Walmart. Even if I don't need it today, I will need it at some point.

I bought this set, and so far am completely satisfied; most of my projects are outdoors or mechanical, so dropping screws or bits can be costly and time-consuming as well as hazardous, as in them disappearing into the grass only to be found by vehicle tires. So far, I've not lost one. As for the case, yes it has flex to it, but many of my more 'rigid' plastic cases have cracked, so flexibility may be better in the long run. Plus my older fingers appreciate the flexibility in getting bits out of the holders. Stiff plastic can be a literal 'pain'!

The other great kit is the Makita XPS and amazon will not ship it to the UK because of their own operating restriction due to the Covid-19. BTW I do not bieve in these supplied plastic case instead both Wera and Trend can sell you something way better. At least they are available here in UK. There are soft textile carrying case designed specifically for bits (i believe it is 'cordura' or something' heavy duty with a stiffener). Those are not going to crack and break on you when its dropped on concrete. Especially when the bits doont stay in their clips anymore, or the hinge / clasp. Less fiddling, faster and more pleasant to get your own 3rd party storage for them.

I bought a huge set of Makita bits years ago, and the longer ones were total junk, but the short ones were and some of them are still around, mostly the slotted screwdrivers and some of the torx. The phillips are long gone, but they lasted a long time. The long ones seemed to be made at a different place, they cammed out of screws and either broke from being too brittle or they were too soft and wore out very quickly. The best part of the whole package was the case they came in, it still holds everything I put in it (I use it most of the time over the new cases stuff comes in) snugly but not too snugly, so you can toss it around without bits coming loose from their slots. I haven't bought a Makita bit since, but I've had Bosch, Milwaukee, Ryobi, and some others and they all were at least halfways decent. The Hart sets are $14.88! I think I'm going to try a set, just for grins. Oh, the case looks very much like a Husky bit case I have, except it's blue. It's a lousy case, the slide is a hassle to move, but it hasn't broken in the 4 or so years I've had it. The bits themselves are OK, and it had a lot of adaptors and extentions with it for a super cheap price. Nothing but one of the long phillips has broken and that one was being abused taking a screw out and I really put a lot of torque on that bit, so I don't blame it for breaking.

I’ve been in the construction field for a better part of 40 years and I’m not one that usually stops and watches videos like this but for some reason I did and I actually enjoyed the information. It may not be important to some people but a lot of what you talked about makes a big difference in the every day life of a carpenter as they say time is money so anyway of saving time is like putting a dollar in your pocket so for that I will have to give it a thumbs up and possibly because of you I will start watching your videos. Thanks

I’ve never had any hart tools. I’m a ryobi guy at home and a Milwaukee guy at work lol. But my wife did buy me a full drill bit/bit set from hart from Walmart. Had them over a year now and even most of the drill bits are still going strong. I have no complaints with what I’ve used of hart. Thought about grabbing a couple diff tools from them but I have so many ryobi batteries for the house lol.

I have the hart brushless drill and the brushless impact driver but i bought a milwaukee impact bit set and when i tell you they are hard to remove im saying if you had any oil or grease on your fingers youre not getting them out without a pair of pliers. They are so tightly packed in the box its very hard for my big fingers to only grab on one. Once you take them out a couple times it gets a bit easier but dang for the first two or three times my fingers were hurting by the time i got the bit out. Harts may be sorta loose in the box but at least youre not hurting your fingers trying to remove a bit from the box

Don’t waste money on the cryobi system.... DeWalt still best overall tool system and best long term purchase..... a few extra bucks and buy it once... consumer grade tools usually give poor results or poor ownership experience. if you only need it once rent a pro tool.... As for bit kits, it’s a disposable item.... even if you don’t intend for it to be 😂 If it’s something your gona use all the time and wear out from use, buy the best... Thanks for the review!

Project farm tested a bunch of bits under a microscope and found the Milwaukee bits to be some of the very best. Mine have lasted for the past 4 years and I use it every day. It's about the same price as these so I'll stick this the waukee's.

This was an informative review. And I like the idea of setting the #2 Phillips bit as the quality standard. I have been using mostly Milwaukee bits. That being said, there are huge differences in the quality of screws as well. Home Depot sells a large selection of Torx drive screws. They are pretty good but I have stripped several of them using the new Milwaukee Surge impact driver. How about a review of the various types and brands of screws.

Dunno about you...but I could we'll see myself getting a set like this. I do like the variety. And if I actually somehow get to wear out something in it - then I just buy a new separate bit, but of a more higher in quality brand.. I've bought an amazing screwdriver set where a bit screwdriver comes along (with lots of bits included also) for only €7 - so I do believe you can get nowadays great stuff for way cheap. The set comes in a plastic stand that is wall mounted, so I got all handy nearby. I actually bought two of them sets. One inside the house and one for my small workshop/storage room... So. For your whatever work at home - I'd buy this. Maybe not for professional use though if thrown in bags like old rags..

For what they are i love my ryobi tools. I use the 1/2 and 3/8 impact guns quite a bit and am perfectly fine with their performance. I can easily remove all of my lugnuts on my truck that are torqued to 120 lbft in seconds. I do all of my own auto repairs, just replaced the roof and interior walls on my 5th wheel, and am restoring a 77 Jeep Honcho and have been impressed. My only complaint is how quickly my angle grinder kils batteries.

I just got the Hart Brushless combo because I always go to Walmart and they seemed like a decent deal. I got this bit set too. I plan to use them mostly for automotive purposes working on crappy LS engined hot rods. I'd love to see you pull some cylinder head bolts off an engine with the adaptor and brushless driver. That would be cool.

Just recently saw your videos and like what i see. I am a commercial/ industrial electrician and bit wise has to be magnetic. I run 3/8 drive sockets only so i don't need the different socket adapters. My most used bits are #2 Phillips, #1 Phillips, #2 Square, and not sure the technical name but a #2 Panel bit (square and flat head combo), 5/16 driver.
