Back in the good old days. What a great time to be young. Glad I was a kid during this time and went here many times.

Great memories. We went there all the time. They really don't make them like they used to.

The Snowman contained a Scrambler ride inside. The big Devil head had, I think, a Bayern Kurve ride or a Music Express. It was very cool to have these indoor structures containing common amusement park rides; it added to the immersion and experience. Miracle Strip also had two different "haunted" houses; a standard dark ride in a tracked car, and a walk-through house. The walk-through was particularly awesome because of the freedom; you could stay in it for hours if you wanted. It featured a terrifying little bit of fun where you'd walk out onto a tiny little landing on the second floor that bore a sign saying "Look up!" and when you stepped out, the whole landing suddenly tilted down a degree or two, making you feel like it was breaking and falling off. A real sphincter-clincher, that one. The Paratrooper ride was one of my favorites as a kid. The Starliner was the very first roller coaster I ever rode in my life. So many great memories there overall. I miss it.

@@PetersPianoShoppe I will never ever forget that drop in the haunted house and at ten, I was the perfect age for it. I just moved to Destin and lived in central Alabama most of my life so Miracle Strip and Show Biz were always two huge deals to us as kids. Every time I see the Miracle Strip Parkway on a sign I feel a twinge of nostalgia and how I may never have that exact kind of fun again in my life. Awesome memories. 🖤

Awe,man I just saw the video of miracle strip...Omg I spent every summer there,my 2 most favorite rides were the paratrooper, and the Dante's inferno....of I love the snowman to,and the logride,of course the music Express is always good. Damn thinking back of all the good times we had. I miss that place.

What made it more "exciting" there was that ALL the rides were poorly constructed and rickety.......and I loved every minute of them.

Yes! I remember the abominable snowman ride. Rotating, spinning ride. Loud music. Icy cold on the inside. Everybody wore sunbritches and windbreakers and parachute pants. Petticoat Junction closed down. Simpler times.

I thought about riding that but this was a HUGE shoulder camera that didn't do well in dim situations. I felt nerdy as it was walking though the park with this thing as a 5th grader hahaha.

Went every summer as a kid in the 70s to 80s - my Aunt sold tickets at the entrance so we would go for free when we came to Florida to visit family and vacation. Good times. Thanks for sharing

great video vcrcooking. i'm working on a project for a 3D map of Miracle Strip. its currently in the rough draft stages and i would like to know if you have a full POV of the log flume ride they had there. so many pictures of the full park don't show the full extent of the ride and the ones that do are obstructed by the trees that the ride goes in and out of. if you or anyone that so happened to drop by can help i'd greatly appreciate it. thank you.
