Which type of tool is ZEITLUPE ? What special operation it performs Looking at the slow motion, it seems like it is doing simple taper turning. Please let me know if i am wrong over it

Zeitlupe means slow motion. As for the tool, I don't think it turns a taper, I think it's a shear tool for enhancing surface finish or improve its precision. If it was cutting a taper, the chip would get bigger as it cuts more into the diameter and a tool that size cutting a taper would squeal and chatter horribly, this tool's chip remained the same size as it was cut. It was moving across the Y axis (X axis would be the tool's depth of cut on a lathe and Z would be across the ways) which some CNC lathes and lathe-mill hybrid machines have.

I'm too lazy rn to look up the english words, but if you search for "Schäldrehen", "Rotationsdrehen" or rollfeed you'll find Videos that should clear up any confusion. There are differences between those three, but they kind of follow the same principles. It's mostly used for hard turning atm, but I'm sure It'll make It's way into general turning. Can often replace grinding and can produce completely lead free surfaces.

It's a bit odd watching the lead-free turning process since the angle of the tool makes it look like it's moving in the Y direction when it's only plunging into the work in the X direction.

That's because it is moving in the Y axis to cut.
