funny story... we were at Walnut creek park in albemarle county sitting on the beach. there were some guys fishing on the other side of the lake.... all of a sudden they threw their fishing rods in the water and ran into the woods. looked back and there came an un marked " conservation" ( game warden) truck lol... one of the funniest thing I have ever seen

What does DGIF do with dogs?

Tracking lost folks and suspects. Locating hidden game and locating evidence. Plus, they are a big PR asset. They are not trained to apprehend suspects by biting. But you might not want to hurt a K-9 handler as the dogs think right much of them.
