Looks like a nice unit. Seems like a Honda Super Quiet generator such as the EU1000 is better suited for power equipment. Runs all day on a tank of gas, is rain proof, weighs less, and doesn't need recharged. And probably isn't any louder than the fan on the Power Station. Thanks for review though. It's nice to know what is available and how they work.

After months of use it’s still going strong. This is great for value! I just bought also 2x 200W Allpower Solar panels. I bought 2 because of space. As I said with one charge takes you looooong if you charge phone, iPad, camera etc.

An update.. it was Charing great with the solar panels until in some point although was showing 40% left it dropped to 0% battery. Any idea what the problem could be? Now charges till 17% then doesn’t go further. From VDL they said for software issue and haven’t helped much. Their service is worst than I thought.

@@MiNkOYu If you still have it...run it all the way down, then charge to full with AC. If this doesn't work the First time, repeat another once or twice. Don't use any boost/fast charge while doing this. I hope this helps.

@@pa_maj.MARTINI-van-MAN the eBay seller has now closed his account. I still have it. It doesn’t charge above 32-33% it probably keep the 70% charged with the solar panel. I want to use it as normal and charge it with solar panels as I was planning. It is so complicated.

15Kg I'd call perhaps luggable rather than portable. A lot of mass and size for a backpack, it seems ideal for a hand trolley or bike trailer. I reckon it would require two hands for me to handle it around.

Hi. I have 1500w and 1200w vdl. With me I connected the microwave and the 1200w will run it just under 1100w and the 1500w will start it up to 6 seconds and then it switches off as the voltage goes beyond 900and some,so not sure why does it do battery power was over 50% so should carry on. Would you know why???

As soon as you turn on the AC circuit, the fans kick on, but they usually stop if you do not have a heavy load on the unit.

nice one, but with two flaw, first menus are slow to response, some time you press again after minutes, thinking it still off. segond no power wen charging, on the 110 volt input, very bad thinking, expressly in winter wen power come and go intermittently,.... you go no power for an hours, its comeback for 20 minutes than go again, for hours, and again power for a whyle, every time the power comeback, its stop, you have to disconnect everything, and connect agan wen power go, very bothersome, the rest its ok.

This is NOT a Goldwing-only channel. A lot of motorcyclists have bikes stored in sheds or storage units with no AC power. Or, say you are transporting your bike(s) in a trailer and want to keep the batteries charged. Think outside of the box.

@@davidsizemore2745 but he does try out other bikes, so I disagree. His comparison with the BMW K1600GTL is good. When I was choosing my next touring motorcycle, I was also thinking, BMW or Goldwing? I'm sure glad that I chose the Goldwing.

Utah Jeff … here …excellent review with practical applications… I have 2 smaller power stations that I pretty much use every day …. I am in the market for a larger one …. If this unit had UPS I might consider purchasing this unit. The missing light is not issue as you could plug fairy lights into the DC side anyway. This would be a good unit for a portable fridge. This brand is very big in the Asian countries…but the reviews seem to be very mixed about reliability and customer service

Utah Jeff .., here…, a new trend in portable power stations is UPS …, uninterrupted power supply …. Once the unit is fully charged there is a special circuit that bypasses the battery cells … in other words it could always be charged and ready if there is a need … and it is not wearing out the battery cells …. Heat is hard on these power stations …. Charging causes heat …. Lipo4 is much better with heat …. However, nothing is 100% perfect

Portable Solar Power Station QUESTION: In a completely off grid scenario, (ie. only Solar Panels to recharge), Can this (or any other), portable solar power station, be programmed to automatically turn ON the AC Outlet circuit, once the battery is sufficiently charged, WITHOUT human intervention, ??? So that it can automatically provide power to any AC connected items, without having to go to the remote location. For Example: If there is a shed located in the middle of a corn field, where grid power does not exist, a portable solar power station, could provide power to a camera NVR system, for security. If the battery ever run out of energy, the next day after the solar panels recharge the batteries to a sufficient level, I would like the AC Outlets, to automatically turn on, allowing the NVR to boot, and begin recording, without any intervention by me. Who makes a unit that offers this functionality? What Brand, and Model? What is a search term that can be used in google to search for this capability? thx

Может, работает как ИБП, когда пропадает переменное питающее напряжение, устройство автоматически включает внутренний генератор, для этого устройство должно быть постоянно включено и когда оно заряжено, единственными потребителем энергии является вентиляторы и схема логики, потребление в таком дежурном - ждущем режиме единицы Ватт.

Presuming your question was serious, the answer is: Probably. My microwave is rated at 1200 watts, roughly equivalent to that heat gun he tested. Depending on your microwave's rating, YMMV.
