There is another way to go about upgrading the coil packs and wiring on the 1.8t mk4 that is cheaper and very reliable plus its an oem set up. I ordered the bolt down style coil packs that are used on the audi c5 rs6. Its a v8 engine with the same 1.8 liter cylinder heads and valve covers on both sides. The coil packs are good for 400 plus hp and they bolt right into the existing bolt holes on the 1.8t valve cover. I ordered resistor style spark plugs and used a dremel to side gap cut them so the center electrode is exposed to the fuel and air mixture inside the cylinder. I re gapped them at a 45 degree angle. I order a coil pack wire harness on ebay and ditched the diy plugin harness that came with it. I hard soldered the wires together with shrink wrap for a more reliable connection. Im on stock tune and stock ko3s turbo and the car rips hard. The idle is super smooth and my gas mileage is 32 mpg on average being monitored on live data through torque on an android device. The car pulls 13.8 seconds in the 1/4 mile on stock tune, stock ecu.

Hell yes !!!! I needed this vid. Have a b6 a4 1.8t and it dropped cylinder 1 and 3. Checked the harness after coil swapping and it was cracked wires. even though the rubber covering was mint and not dried out. The actual wiring sheath wad dried out and exposed wire 😢 ordering the kit right now 🤜💥🤛 😎🤙 mahalo

Your engine code must be different. You’ll need to find the correct wiring diagram for your engine code.
