Vector, Despicable Me's main antagonist, is finally coming back! For the past 13 years, fans wondered what happened to Vector on the moon, and now Illumination is revealing the answers in a new short titled "MOONED". This new short in the Despicable Me universe will play before Illumination's new movie, Migration.

I remember this being such a widely asked question back when the original movie dropped and everyone speculating what ifs on the idea of Vector returning from space. Feels surreal to know after all this time that we'll finally get an official answer on Vector's fate on the moon. Regardless of how the short ends, its neat to remember this kind of craze from back then return once more.

@RB01.10 I don't really mean on a creative level, because Illumination movies themselves are generally just alright. But it's just Disney has been really leaning into live action stuff in the past few years and relying on nostalgia to bring people in. Don't get me wrong, Illumination wants to be profitable too, and they figured out how to nail it without straying away from animation. I'm not saying they're better movies, but they go all in on promoting animated movies.

Having shorts playing before the "Feature Presentation" was always a success back in the early days of Movies. Hopefully, this will be the start of that culture coming back.
