Great video. Who sells the Neo Geo circuit board, made for the Vextrex? Thanks
@wiredupretro Жыл бұрын
You'd have to reach out to Nicolas Weill to have one of these boards purchased.

Is the Vectrex Pinout for controls known and simple (NSWE1234G in some arrangement, and the difference between digital and analog is intensity of signal) I so, I think i can make a Sinister Controller setup if the setup is as simple as 1234NSWEG. If not some someone should make a "rightie adapter" that inverts X and Y if x and y ate on one pin each, not 2)
@wiredupretro Жыл бұрын
It's rather complex unfortunately- not simple like the Atari 2600 controller.

class the further development of an original mod. It's a shame that the name of the person who came up with the first NG Mini Pad mod for the Vectrex was never mentioned.
@wiredupretro Жыл бұрын
Yeah- I wish I knew their names, but I don't...

@@wiredupretro It's not your fault either. You can easily find his tutorial for this mod, along with his idea for it, on a German website, headline is: NEO GEO Mini Pad on Vectrex Mod, 100% Analog Support He already created this tutorial on 08.2019. He is not disappointed that his mod is being built or sold because he made the tutorial specifically for other people to build it. But he is disappointed that his name was never mentioned anywhere. i have known him my whole life......😉

@@ArcmanatTube Hello M.K. I discovered the miniNeoGeo mod for Vectrex via a video from a Frenchman at a conference. This Frenchman was in communication with this German guy and got a prototype from him. There was still a problem with the diagonals (and probably another problem with the pressure on the buttons). As I could not contact this person, because I did not know his name (the Frenchman never gave it to me), I started the project from scratch. I really started from zero. I scanned the original PCB from a miniNeoGeo, traced the outline in vector, recreated the pads, and corrected the defects. It took me 1 year and 4 versions of the pad. If I can confirm that the name of this person is the one who provided the controller to the French, I would be very happy to add his name on the Github. (all the design is open source). But I'm not sure if it's the same person. The initial modded miniNeoGeo sent to the Frenchman (kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5eviaipeblpl8k) contains a GameCube analog pad and a redesigned PCB. Which is not the case on this forum. It seems that several people have proposed mods based on the miniNeoGeo pad. I can't tell if there was inspiration or communication between the projects. I will nevertheless try to trace the history of this mod.

@@guimliglogebben5804For this comment I give here with a big one♥ Thanks for the explanation. The development is impressive and that makes you very happy and I think that's good, that's what homebrew lives on. I would like to explain a bit more about all of this, but I don't think this is the right place for it. Maybe there is a way to do this. Right now I'm just happy about your explanation and the way it all went. Thanks

Auto fire should be only active when the button is pressed It should not be that when pressing the button, nothing happens.
@wiredupretro Жыл бұрын
The switches have two active positions- one is for autofire when pressing the button (and discontinuing when letting off the button) and the other is for autofire going without pressing it (and discontinuing when the button is pressed). Probably should have explained that in the video.

@@wiredupretro Ah, that is awesome! Thank you for explaining
@wiredupretro Жыл бұрын
@@dbnpoldermans4120 Yeah- Nicolas got that implemented in the PCB - a very good plan :)
