this year was easily the hardest fishing for reds. I've seen lots but not as mochas last year

I went out about a dozen times after work and didn't land a single one. They're definitely a challenge unless you're flossing at the crossing.

Hi Petr. I’m looking to go salmon fishing for the first time this fall and I’ve learned a lot from your videos. I will likely be going solo at least sometimes, but I’m not sure what is the best way to net a fish when you are by yourself. Could you do a video on how you do it?
I can't say that I like the fishing scene there. The majority of people at the bridge are long leader flossing and some are outright snagging. The vast majority of fish getting caught are sockeye which are not supposed to be fished for at all. I get my news of the place second hand, but the gist is there are 4 or 5 chinook caught there every day among the 20 or 30 people trying. I don't call that good fishing.

Do you ever see bull trout snorkeling the vedder?

Small ones are there throughout in the summer, but the big ones are almost entirely above the fishing boundary. They are quite sensitive to fishing pressure and stay where they are mostly not getting bothered. All the bull trout are seasonal visitors, they come down from the lake or up from the Fraser to eat salmon eggs and fry.

I've been on the grind for a red sense opening day and still haven't gotten one, but I'm not giving up till I land my first coho of the season 😂

I know how you feel. Apparently first light is the way to go, but I'm not that keen to get to the river at 4:30.
