Thanks, my Honda pilot would stop after driving fine and wouldn’t move in any gear everybody was telling me it was the transmission but I told them to replace the 3rd and 4th pressure switch after watching this video and it worked

This just happened to me on the road. Car loaded, full of kids, 90 outside and going up a hill. Felt a jolt, like the tranny slipped. Freaked out because we were 70+ miles away from home and it is memorial day. Was able to make it home after pulling over and resting a bit. Got on here and your video has been really helpful. Thanks a million!

y my05 keeps jerking foward like its slipping gears especially when driving in the highway for more than 2 hours? Flashing “D” came up yesterday while driving back from Wisconsin to chicago in the highway and thank god when exiting the highway it started jerking really bad.. i did drain and fill already and changed 4th gear pressure switch and same thing keeps happening .. changed motor mounts and trans mounts , same thing.. i changed my clogged cat to a brand new one same thing keeps happening… at this point im just started to think it has a tranny issue… it has 166k miles and nothing but headaches.. i think its time for a new car and monthly payments.. did u fixed the issue?

Just wanted to say thank you my car repair shop confirm that I needed a third pressure switch I wasn’t sure but I could’ve saved $130 for diagnose. I did save time by having the parts there for them to install. again, I thank you for putting out this video.

I changed my 3rd gear pressure switch 8 months ago. This morning the D was flashing again. I am hoping it isn’t a trans failure 😞.

Hi There, I have an 03 pilot and this just happened to me. Ive read on many forums that the tranny does need to be replaced at about 100k. One good indication that your tranny is slipping is jolts during the gear changes or the engine reving and the car struggling to pull speed.
@girthy10incher233 жыл бұрын
Did you use an OEM switch?
@Enigmatic_5723 жыл бұрын
@@girthy10incher23 yes I did. I’m actually heading to get the car scanned to check the error code this time. I would hate this to be the transmission.

I have a 2004 Pilot with about 257K miles on it and got the flashing D indicator yesterday. Also, the shifter will not go into D3, 2 or 1. Not sure what this is about. Could a bad pressure sensor cause this? Appreciate the video. I went out and bought a Foxwell OBD scanner bases on your video. Thanks for providing this video!
@Whitestrash2 жыл бұрын
Not sure what that would be. If it's not physically going into gear, it could be the shift cable. If it's not showing up on the dash display but still going into gear, it could be the range selector switch. The scan tool should help a lot.

My airbag system has a bad impact sensor. Probably a corroded connection because it's intermittent.

I dont think the switch you removed is an oem factory switch, looks aftermarket and normally those are not reliable, hows the old girl holding up after the new switch?

I'm not sure if the one in there was oem, i bought the vehicle with 230k on it. The replacement was oem and its holding up perfectly.

@@Whitestrash Glad to hear its doing well, I can see by the video that the one you pulled out was aftermarket, some parts you can get away with not being OEM but some just dont work, never use an aftermarket PCV or Thermostat!

@Whitestrash2 жыл бұрын
I can't guarantee it, but I'd imagine it is. It's the same body style in that year. However, the transmission itself changed after 2005, so it could possibly be different.

I have a 2011 Honda Pilot, I had the 3rd high pressure censor replaced about 5 months ago and the D light started to flash again today. Is there other high pressure censors that cause the flashing D light
@Whitestrash3 жыл бұрын
There are plenty of things that can cause it to flash. Usually it's not good. I just got lucky with mine.

@Whitestrash3 жыл бұрын
Sounds like the trans might be taking a crap. They weren't known to be the best transmissions. I know they had issues in that year with the trans cooler leaking and letting coolant into the transmission. How did your fluid look when you drained it? And what fluid did you use to fill it?
