Hi Janiel! 💕 Although I've never used a sugar alternative for this recipe, I read it is possible to use natural sweeteners (depending on the one you use the flavor and texture might be a bit different).

The issue with vegans for me... is that cornstarch and other corn products are guaranteed to be GMO. there is VERY little non gmo corn products any more. And the fact that those almonds used up tons of water to grow for a carton of nut milk. And that there was at least one grasshopper or lady bug killed in the making of vegan milks

They can’t die. They can drink real milk or don’t. They don’t need to drink milk, they can have pure water instead and/or coconut milk.

The amount of gmo corn products found in the supermarkets depends on the country someone lives. There is only need for a really small amount of almonds to do almond milk, buying or not a package of it is a choice. People who try to reduce their waist just do it at home. Almonds require the biggest water use for PLANT MILK, so people can choose other plant milks that require less water. Still, cows’ milk requires about the double of the water (without counting other problems like the emissions). Insects and other small animals killed in the process of harvesting, etc. aren’t killed on purpose. People don’t chose to deliberately kill them, farmed animals on the other hand are deliberately killed and because those animals have to eat we need a lot more land to plant food for them and other crops die in the process too. So if people actually cared about crops dying, they would go plant-based because a lot more animals die to feed people with an omnivore diet.
