I always sub silken tofu for cashews with no problem in sauce recipes. And green olives work fine as sub for capers too. I'm going to try this and also add in some Old Bay seasoning. Thanks for the recipe!

I made this for dinner this evening. They were quite good. I used "blackened" old bay and it added a kick of cayenne in the mix. The remoulade was a nice accompaniment. I will make the one last crab cake for lunch tomorrow. Thanks for a nice recipe.

Let’s see I would try some white beans you may need to add more bread crumbs because they are more watery than chickpeas but I think they should work! And thank you for your kind words 💕
