My aunt always checks when they have new shipments for vegan items for me. She's got me beyond meat beef crumbles, good planet cheeses (4 different flavors), califia yogurt drinks, polenta, and so much more vegan stuff at the 99 cent only store!! Different locations carry different stuff.

(Please correct me if I’m wrong!) From my understanding D3 is made from lanolin; which is a waxy substance from sheep’s wool. Not all vitamin D derivatives have lanolin though, and I believe D4 is okay to have. General Mills always fortifies their cereals with D3 so even if the ingredients list is vegan, I’d just avoid them all together. (This includes things that may seem harmless like Chex mix.) Also lanolin/lanolin oil is often found in cosmetics, mainly in things like balms, so be aware of that! There’s an entire brand that focuses on lanolin as an ingredient (Lano) so make sure to avoid anything from them. It may seem okay (to buy products with lanolin) because the sheep are kept alive, but keep in mind they need the lanolin more than we do! It’s this waxy substance that keeps water off of their wool so that they have protection in the rain.

I love that store. Sometimes when they need to clear the produce out for new stuff, they’ll sell it discounted. Like 6 head of broccoli for a $1. Awesome. Ive also found chao vegan cheese, go veggie vegan cheddar shreds, gardein skillet meals, and organic so delicious creamer.

99 cents only stores are all over the place here in LA so growing up we always shopped there. There's SO much. Obviously always make sure the produce is actually fresh and the shelf stuff isnt expired but for the most part it's amazing.

I don't have a 99 cent store, but I get that Zulka brand sugar at Walmart, the cane sugar in a 4 lb bag, for 1.98. Our local dollar store has 2 lb bags of the same brand for $1. Very reasonable price for bone char free/vegan sugar.

I believe they have special agreements with manufacturers to take near expired products, or buy them in super large bulk quantities, or buy the slightly damaged or products. They’re actually really bad for the economy and for small towns/food deserts because they’re cheap and smaller stores can’t compete

I got an 8 pack of Kashi flax waffles for 99 cents, I got Gardien sliders 4 pk for 99 cents (was labeled 1.99, but rang up 99 cents), I got a Frontera vegan taco bowl frozen dinner for 1.99, and the Freedom cereals (usually always there) don't have vitamin D and are 99 cents. The oranges are 4 lbs for 1.99, the potatoes are also a great deal: it was 5 lbs russet for 99 cents, but I think it's 1.99 now. I get the yellow potatoes, but don't remember the cost. They also have soy milk for 99 cents. I love that store.

I would go to different ones to see which ones were better. The one y’all went to in LA though was pop’n! Those frozen items and fruits where abundant.

There’s a lot of 99cent only stores in my area and that all have a great selection like this one. As far as a know they’re all over Southern California where I live 😊 They’re selection changes often too so you can come across a lot of really cool products.

We have 99 cent store in Texas I love it. I love there produce not had much as grocery and some like bananas cost more. I like the Mexican squash steamed or stir fried so yummy for breakfast. I also love chayote for breakfast. Olives and water chestnuts are cheaper at 99 cent store than grocery store. Check lays bbq chip might have honey.

I know I’m late to the party but I’ve been binging your videos lately! I’m absolutely loving your content so much, so I hope this comes across well, but I was concerned to hear that you feed Beary a vegan diet. I know technically dogs are omnivores, and it’s possible to feed them vegan but from what I’ve read, it’s very important to use premade vegan dog food instead of homemade just to make sure the dogs stay healthy and without heart problems from lack of nutrients which can apparently happen much more often than not when making your dog’s food at home from scratch rather than manufacturers who know what nutrition and ingredients are best for dogs. Again, I know I’m late and you’ll probably never see this, but it would be great to know if you guys are using store bought food to ensure that he is living his healthiest vegan puppy life ❤️. I noticed you picked up some lentils for your little dog, but have you heard about the FDA's study that found dog food brands containing peas, lentils, chickpeas, and even different kinds of potatoes to be linked to heart disease and heart failure in dogs? Your 99 cent store is much better than the ones we have in Texas. Also, more and more stuff no longer 99 cents. We used to be able to get Portabellas for 99 cents, but they are now 1.99. That's bonkers!! Dollar stores in my area only have snacks and some canned goods. They don't have fridges, freezers or produce. If we had something like this near me I would totally make going to the dollar store as a regular part of my shopping trip

Oklahoma, where I live has "Dollar Tree" but it's nothing like .99cent Stores which have a lot more now from what I see on Video than when I lived in SoCa. This video was useful to me, but it had nothing to do with the fact you're doing cheap shopping. I'm from the UK so can't relate on your dollar store items, and the reason it was so useful is because you said some things about products we assume to be vegan but might not be. Would you consider doing a video about things like this? I know you've done videos and talked about these bits in videos on things to know when going vegan, but I think going in depth would be a really informative video for the commu ity of those transitioning.
