Can’t wait to see if after a few uses you feel it was worth the purchase and look forward to your experiments. Would also like to hear about any fails with it (would make good bloopers and helpful hints)! Thanks
@LetsEatPlants3 жыл бұрын
Hehehe yes… I am already thinking about that as well! (How many uses will I *really* get out of this? 🤔🤔) I am trying not to go too crazy (still watching my waistline 😳😳) but that is also inspiring me to try some healthy versions of these recipes. Therefore, I think there will be quite a few fails as well! Good to know you are interested, I will be sure to keep that footage and add that in as tips. 😋😋 I also plan to offer the recipes with the option of not using the machine… because I know it’s possible and I’m sure a lot of people won’t want to buy it for just a few uses! I think the churner makes the consistency a bit better, but it’s definitely not essential! Anyway… thank you for your lovely comment! Love hearing your ideas! 💕💕

It’s definitely worth it. I’ve owned this model for over 20 years and still use it usually at least once a week. We just keep the bowl always in the freezer. And also I was going to say about the part regarding refrigerating the mixture for a few hours ahead of time , unless the recipe requires heating the mixture (which most don’t)I never do this step and it always turns out perfectly either way- so you really can actually make ice cream on a whim- if desired. It takes about 25 minutes total from craving phase to eating phase! Also, Mine is always more frozen on the edges than it is in the middle too, So you didn’t do anything wrong. ;)

Great video and Ice cream recipe Maddie. I am not too fussy if the ice cream is coconut based because Vegan ice cream is too expensive compared to the dairy products but I don't want to go back to dairy and view vegan ice cream as a treat item. Love🥰 the video and love💕💕 Maddie and Q.

Omg I love mint choc chip too! I just told Q I want to make one with mint & Oreos. 😂😳😳 Wow, I’ve heard the thermomix is fabulous! Hope you can make some vegan recipes in it too.

@@LetsEatPlants The reason you had trouble getting the paddle thingie out is because you have to remove it straight away. If you don't, it will freeze solidly from the outside in like yours was doing. 😅

Wow, that recipe looks super chocolatey. When I make ice cream the ice cream that is against the side of the frozen inside part is always more frozen than the middle. Tastes just as good though!

Oooh thank you for this!!! Thought it was just me. 🙈 Very glad to know that’s the standard for these machines. Once I scooped it all out of course it froze evenly and worked out just fine. 😄 The ice cream was delicious! An awesome recipe if you’re looking for a decadent treat.

Do you think that calculating a smaller recipe would be easy, or would you lean towards just going ahead and getting the two quart machine? If you have a smaller recipe, would the output be worth the effort and would it feed your family?
@LetsEatPlants2 жыл бұрын
I think it would be easy to calculate a smaller recipe if you want to do that! I personally like to make larger recipes, even for ice cream, because they can last in the freezer quite a while. It is just me and my husband and I still make full batches of most recipes. 😄😄 Hope that helps!

Can you make ice cream in this maker with only almond milk for example? Then add all kinds of things ? Would it make almond mil thick for example?
@LetsEatPlants Жыл бұрын
Good question! Not really.. it’s best to combine the ingredients before you run it through the machine. But that said, it does turn liquid into thick ice cream! If you check out some of my other ice cream videos you can see it basically turns smoothie consistency into ice cream. But it’s different from the Ninja Creami which I think is more what you’re talking about… that is basically whipping the frozen milk. 😊😊

I can’t eat coconut I’m allergic to it. Does it work with rice milk?
@LetsEatPlants Жыл бұрын
Yes you can use alternative milks! I would recommend using the thickest/ creamiest one you like though. For example I have heard some of the oat milks are pretty creamy. Or you can make a thicker cashew milk by blending cashews and water. This will just help boost the fat content which makes a better ice cream. 😊
@RoseW-hr4wb Жыл бұрын
@@LetsEatPlants oh I know how to make my rice milk really thick so I will do that. Thank you so much now I need to find an attachment like that from my - stand mixer thank you again I was going to go out and buy a $65 ice cream maker.

@@LetsEatPlants hello little sell it for my stand mixer. But I have a food processor and I found out that if you take the ingredients mix them and then put them in the freezer bag and then lay flat in the freezer and let it freeze up and then you break it apart and you put it in a food processor and then that makes ice cream I have a food processor. I will let you know how it goes.

Girl.. *I got you!* First thing I said when I tasted this was, I gotta find a way to make this without coconut. 😆😆😆 Q loves it, but I’m with you! I think the coconut is just a bit too coconutty. I already have lots of ideas on what to use instead. 😁😁
