Judging an animal’s value of life on its ability to build a structure like a Yale building is a totally illogical argument. If you think there is an argument there then explain 1) why it is important to acknowledge the phytic acid content of legumes and 2) explain why is it important to mention the carbohydrate content and also why is it appropriate to only acknowledge these two factors. @Michael Gamble Hmm it's pretty rare for domesticated dogs to actually hunt and kill (but yes my dog once killed a rat in our house, they didn't consume the rat, just killed it). Unless you're talking about dogs in tribes and so on. And most of the time they are trained to do it too. Also even though my dog would hunt and kill an animal for their own food, I don't think we have any right to take or share the animal that the dog killed. The kill belongs to the dog, not us. By sharing the kill it would already mean that we're just using the dog as the middle man to kill the animal. And that goes against the morals of veganism. My two carrots :D

@Michael Gamble The best way to go is to opt for organic farming but yes I understand that it's expensive and not easily accessible and readily available everywhere. Hence we opt for the best we can do. At the end of the day there will always be animals killed due to farming. Insects killed by pesticides and so on and forth. I know in some cases (like in India, where an elephant was killed because they destroy farmlands and so on). But most of the times these happened because humans destroy the natural habitat of these animals. And neither do I condone the act of killing these animals. Also I think in today's world many vegetables are grown in areas/places where the destruction of crops happen often/everyday. And farmers usually put preventive measures to prevent this from happening.
