Today we bring you #mechadavegana since it is a staple for fast food: for snacks, as arepas or rice with beans, this vegan meatloaf is a show. It is made from a very special fruit but if you can't find it you can substitute textured soy or any legume. If you want to know how the subject is going, here is the step by step:
INGREDIENTS:
2 large cans of Jack fruit in brine (540 g of green jack fruit drained in brine, never in syrup !!!)
1 white onion
1/2 red pepper
2 cloves of garlic
2 days of EVOO
1 tbsp salt
1 thyme appointment
1/8 appointment of whole grain nega pepper
1 bay leaf
50 ml of white wine (vegan)
100 ml of water
300 ml of fried tomato
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 appointment of sweet paprika
2 loaves of bread
· We start draining and washing the pieces of jack fruit. We will cut them along so that when they are cooked they crumble better and fray well.
· Dice the red pepper, peel the garlic cloves and chop the onion.
· In a pan, heat the EVOO, the garlic cloves and the chopped onion.
· When the onion is pocha (about 5-10 minutes) add the pepper, salt, thyme, bay leaf and black pepper and cook for 10 more minutes.
· Add the cut fruit jack, white wine and water and cook for about 30 minutes. When 15 has passed you will see that the fruit has darkened a bit and is somewhat softer. After 30 minutes you will see it frayed easily.
· Without extinguishing the fire we are going to help ourselves with a fork to put the fruit in, and we listen to it little by little until it is completely frayed.
· Add the fried tomato, sweet paprika and soy sauce and cook about 10 more minutes.
· It only remains to fill some good bread sticks, some arepitas and even eat it with rice and beans. This vegan wick will freak you out!
