I'm an OG Hot for Foodie (like from back in the day where you had bangs (fringe if you're not canadian) and were cooking in that kitchen with the old white fridge that kinda looked like a Smeg but I don't think it was. I feel like that's an important and huge step in anyone's cooking journey, the moment when you actually start understand how recipes really "work", what ingredients do, how to balance flavors and achieve the textures you want... Have always loved your cotent since the Recipe?! days, Lauren. You're the reason I loved experimenting and re-creating vegan versions of my old favourite dishes. I was even motivated to start my own food blog but quickly realised how difficult it was and it sadly fizzled out. It is a whole job in itself and I couldn't do it at the same time as a full time job so I have so much respect for creators who do this mostly alone. I think it's important to show this side and also for others to realise a lot of content creators who put stuff out regularly have teams and help! Also, cooking in a new environment is so stressful! When I moved house, I fully forgot how to cook basic things I'd been making for years and nothing tasted right. Please never stop posting even if you have to take breaks 💜
