For people trying to find yuba (at least in Toronto Canada), another name/version of it is "Bean Curd Sheets". You can find them in most asian grocers, for sure in Chinatown at least. :)

Over here in Asia we have yuba that has already been deep fried called "foo chok". It's so tasty and delicious fried or braised.

Colgin Liquid Smoke tastes less chemically because it is Natural Hickory (or apple wood or pecan or mesquite) Smoke flavor. No chemicals to taste. The Best stuff out there.

I tried yuba for the first time at 20th St Pizza in Philadelphia (Blackbird and Screamers sister shop) and was absolutely blown away by how it was cooked; it tasted exactly like chicken skin and the texture was on point! Definitely not something I ever thought I would eat again.

Omggg that brand makes Thai curry nuggets (tofu) and they're soooo good. I put them on bamboo skewers, broiled inside, and served with a coconut peanut sauce. I haven't seen the yuba sheets in my store :(

no but I'm sure it would work! the only thing is I would think it needs to remain in one layer and not a pile so the air fryer is too small and it would be far less time - and probably a little lower in temp

Have you ever tried the premade veg bacon? What do you think? I have made the bacon from the book and it's delicious, however for convenience sake, I buy the premade. Also, I've been able to turn my 3 kids onto the veg bacon 100%- and none of them are vegetarian, so it's a small win here in my home.

it comes vaccum sealed or dried so it'll last forever. I freeze the vaccum packs when I stock up!

So I only have dried tofu skins, but it should work if I dehydrated them first, right? You know what I'm just gonna try it lol I think the dried kind ("dried bean curd") might be more readily available to some and it's super inexpensive also

you can probably get it at asian grocers it may be listed as bean curd or bean curd skins, i've mainly seen dried in melbourne but you would just have to rehydrate it

This looks delicious. Just so you know I can barely ever listen to cooking videos (or any videos) that have background music. (Watch Adam Ragusea for an example of peaceful recipe sharing. There are many others, but he's who came to mind - sorry he's not vegan.) Just the underlying droning sound of the music is unpleasant to me. A little tiny music at the end or something is fine. I just thought you might like to try it and see if you get more viewers. Thanks for all your delicious food.
