I recently bought some Scubapro Seawing Nova fins after watching one of your previous videos, looking forward to using them!
@OceanPancake3 жыл бұрын
Oh I am glad to hear that! Let me know how you go. I have found most people reaally love them, If you do feel pressure on the top of your foot however, consider switching to a lower profile boot. (Some people with high arches experience some discomfort)

We have the seawing nova fins. We love them.

I like that style mask. Gives more view angles. Except I need RX Lenses. Most of which have that annoying Sqaured frame.
@OceanPancake3 жыл бұрын
The best option for lenses is the Scubapro Synergy in my opinion!

For fins you should check out the diveRs on Ningaloo swimwear - they have some cool tiger and whale shark prints! Also obviously adreno have some nice DiveRs and Ruku branded blades, which I’ve heard good things about! Love the video!!! 😁

Don't they look amazing?? I have been thinking bout those however they are carbon and quite expensive.. So I have been taking my time for research

Hi where is the best place you have free dived

Why the long fins for free diving? Wouldn’t regular stiff fins work better?
@OceanPancake3 жыл бұрын
The long freediving fins allow for a greater transfer of power with minimum effort on your muscles. One kick "lasts" longer, therefore you need to kick less frequently to glide further underwater. This is helpful as you do not have as much available oxygen as you do when scuba diving :)

Could you elaborate on light fins and sharks? Have you have any encounters? I recently got white fins and am rethinking the choice
@OceanPancake3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, white or light fins tend to reflect more light. Therefore when you are swimming, they often give the appearance of flickering movement that can be confused for fish. If you are around feeding sharks (on casual dives its not a problem, but shark feeding dives or if anyeone around you is fishing or spear fishing) your fins may appear as the source of the "stressed" fish. Therefore, causing interest in your feet :) I have been around spear fishers for over 2 years (and have several instances where they thought I was a fish themselves because of the colour and flashes of the fins)
