I became vegan because I realized how cruel dairy and egg industries are, I don't think is extreme, I just want to be coherent with my believes of respect and equality of all sentient beings on the planet

In ancient India dairy products were consumed very sparsely, Humans could take some milk after the calf was fully satisfied. So few milk was left for the human beings. In the modern dairy industry there is lot of violence. (हिंसा). Calves must be killed in order to supply more milk. So the ideal sattvik diet vegan. No need for raw vegan. Lactose intolerance occurs more in India (especially in the South) than in Europe. According to recent studies 70% of the Indian population is lactose intolerant.

Also another group that had multiple amazing healings (hacres) used 85% raw to 15% cooked. The founder used 100% raw vegan to heal colon cancer and then went to a less stringent diet as mentioned above. I do think many vegans are too militant and pretty mean actually to those doing things a little different..the ones doing it for animal cruelty reasons are generally the ones (not all of course) but one who does it for health reasons generally tends to not be so militant about it I noticed.

I tried the vegan diet and I noticed it gets very crazy and a lot of vegans put down vegetarians. These days I just avoid eating meat and eggs. With eggs I avoid them only when it comes to eating them for a meal. If a recipe has eggs in it I will still eat it. I just don't like eggs alone so it is personal preference. Dairy is wonderful.

I have met people who eat raw food only and who are some of the most selfish, screwed up people I have ever known. Not only that, but they stupidly spend a fortune eating sprouts which are so easy and economical to grow at home. I agree that fanatics of any kind are the most dangerous members of our society and found this talk useful.

Long time 100% raw food eater-Victoria Boutenko-who insisted one must be not 99 but 100% raw to get the most benefits recently reversed her stance saying it is better to eat some lightly cooked/steamed veggies than raw nuts and seeds as most grains, nuts and seeds have too much omega 6 fatty acids and this leads to problems.

I am sure this individual is a good kind person with positive feelings towards humans. But as far as his knowledge of food goes I would suggest he take the time to investigate more sources . He might want to read the China Study and all the science behind veganism and it's proven health benefits. Eating animals is not a spiritual act in any way shape or form.

@MerulaMondlicht Hypoglycemia means too little sugar in the blood. Why would that mean that you need to eat protein? In any case if protein is your problem than you can still have plenty of protein from a vegetarian/ vegan diet. For example broccoli is 13% protein, which is plenty. I am a vegetarian. I don't see this as extremism but merely a healthier diet.

7th from bottom (not sure if posted this as cant see my comments till approved) and took drugs and was very selfish but when she changed to raw, she lost all cravings for drugs or alcohol and quit and that she now was very kind, caring and loves helping others. I remember reading a woman's experience in following Arnold Ehret's diet (fruits and above grown veggies) who had such dramatic personality changes and all commented on her peace,

They studied this field and used a low fat vegan with their diabetic patients. They said type 2 diabetics have enough insulin but it can't get into the cells via the insulin receptor sites to give energy. The pancreas then panics at so much in the blood and releases more, more more till we are pumping out 20 times too much and then the pancreas wears out and goes back to 1 or 2 times instead of 20 and

Thanks 4 sharing. I believe a raw diet may not be as fanatic as we think. Because 99.99% of all the living organisms on planet earth consume a 100% pure raw living diet. Raw food seems to be the rule rather then the exception. The only species who cook their food are the human beings. (and their pets) and guess were the broadest spectrum of diseases can be found? I fully agree that Balance is the key to success in any diet or lifestyle.

take fruit for an example, a tree grows its fruit for survival of its type, an animal comes along to eat the fruit, animal takes the fruit away/takes the stones/seeds to another place, does a poop and the seeds begin to grow into more trees, vegetables are another story, I really don't know and I feel a bit strange when I eat them I want to know more

Most fools don't know about consciousness the Soul and animals are Gods property and just like you get punished for killing humans, you will have to get the reactions of eating that hamburger. Getting pwned by subtle laws of Gods is good for humans eating like animals.

Fanaticism is in the eye of the beholder different for everyone and generally not what you believe. One could say cooking food is fanaticism as no other species does it or a non plant diet is fanatic as we first gathered plants only before hunting. a meat eater might say that vegetarianism is being fanatical or that religious diets that exclude certain things are fanatical etc. running into the wrong vegan or raw foodist (one who eats 50% raw or more is considered a raw foodist)

and Genetically modified foods something everyone has eaten unless they have eaten all organic for over 15 years. This is having a huge impact on creating disease and is directly linked with childhood obesity and adult and childhood diabetes, infertility and ms. Milk has been directly correlated with prostate cancer. One needs to be sure if they are eating meat or dairy or milk to use organic as they eat the animals estrogenic hormones to

2nd from bottom One must guard against generalizations. Amazing cures have been attributed to a high raw diet (85-100% raw). It seems though after several years. The health starts going into decline again and many then add a little cooked or dairy products. Perhaps when one has eaten the wrong diet (sad diet) for so many years then in order to reverse the damage it causes, one must go to "extremes" the opposite direction to heal quickly. Once healed for several years, then

4th from bottom I felt it is they who should change their label to ethical vegans as they said I should never say I was a vegan but call myself a "strict vegetarian" but then noone understands what that is. Here our vegan & vegetarian groups get together for thanksgiving and a few other events. I believe in building bridges and community not separatism/division. I would not criticize a person's eating but I would gently advise them if they were eating the standard American diet and were sick.
@wowbenji11 жыл бұрын
at that point one needs insulin..the reason the cells are insulin resistant is as a lock and key both ok but something is gumming up the locks like chewing gum in a real lock and key nothing wrong with the key (insulin) or the lock (insulin receptor cells) but one has to remove the gum to get them working right and in this case the gum is fat--too much fat. o this definitely is correlated with diabetes. also these previous societies you mention did not have fast food on every corner
@wowbenji11 жыл бұрын
last- one could go to a less stringent diet while maintaining high raw and vegan adding some vegetarian foods without harm or reversal of health. So who knows maybe if one has been vegetarian all their life, they can maintain health on it better but most Americans have not been this. I don't think it is right to say one is not spiritual on a vegan or raw diet nor that all vegetarians are spiritual..this is individual and may be related strongly to upbringing and temperament and not just diet.

3rd from bottom might turn one off as many do tend to be judgemental and convey a sense htye think they are better than but many are also kind and caring and do not do this. I respectfully feel also the man in the video may be defending on some level his religious and cultural beliefs as being the right one as we all tend to defend our own beliefs. Dr Gabriel Cousens who did the documentary raw for 30 days in which he reversed diabetes is considered a very spiritual man. he is 100% raw.

5th from bottom to these animals are directly linked to reproductive cancers and other health problems. Am I understanding that if people do raw or vegan for themselves and don't criticize others or be fanatics about it, then it is OK. I have ran into vegans who tell me I am not vegan even though I eat no animal products as I dont follow the vegan ethical stance against honey, circuses, zoos and so forth forbidding me in a rude way to not call myself vegan so I understand what he is saying.

If middle path in food food is best so is middle path in ignorance, true? Not as simple as that, good and bad things about each. I don't eat raw but I don't see how that's a bad thing as long as they eat reasonably safe things. Id imagine boiling food kills some of the vitamins anyway. Middle path with cooking and raw would be good

just to let people know if your vegetarian most of the milk you will be getting comes from a cow who in order to produce milk needs to have calves and in most cases those calves sooner or later get turned into food so you are still contributing to the death of animals by drinking milk(and once the cow can no longer produce the milk to most farmers its as good as dead), I'm not saying your right or wrong for doing so I'm just stating a fact, as to me veganism is merely being compassionate
@neobogard8 жыл бұрын
acharya shree explained it perfectly. the best veg diet is the spiritual vegetarian diet, meaning all veg and dairy products are all ok. the norm vegetarians consider egg to be vegetarian, which is wrong. and vegans stay away from the very nutritious dairy product, which isn't a balanced diet and on the extreme side of things. live wise, namaste.

and yet he just said that its not good for a human body over 20 years old)...i dont think dairy is good because it comes at a price ...they impragnate the cow then take away the baby that her milk is ment for kill the baby and then kill the cow when she no longer gives milk...somehow i cant think of a diary industry that would not be cruel...its not sustainable ..my opinion its best to leave cows alone and not take what is not ment for us
@-V33-10 жыл бұрын
sergsfault that's fair enough if you feel it is not right for you. For me I have lived without it for a few years and now by including it in my diet I can tell it is beneficial for me so I will choose to buy it from a sustainable source.
