Michele, I have been following you for years. I agree with what you say. I love all your videos. You gave me great ideas on how to stick with my plan. Biggest game changer for me was when you explained dressings. How important a dressing is to a salad. It was a game changer for me. I incorporate salads into everything now. Just for added goodness I throw greens in my smoothies as well. There's nothing worse than a doctor saying you have cancer or some other disease. But there's nothing greater when a doctor says "congratulations, you have turned your situation around. You are another year clear of cancer. Keep up the good work. Whatever you're doing is naturally keeping cancer at bay!" Thank you. ❤️

@ cant wait for the new dressings and thanks for all your positivity. Funny thing… no one teaches you how to stay cancer free. You didn't cause the cancer but you sure don't want it ever to return. The medical community doesn't assist you with that. They honestly don't. It's wonderful people like you that teach the nutrition that actually fights recurrence. So I cannot thank you enough, Michele! ❤️

I'm so glad to hear someone talking about mindset when it comes to diet and health. I really struggled with weight loss until I started identifying as a healthy person who prefers fresh food. After that, all the choices seemed very easy. I just picked the ones that corresponded to my new identity. It sounds overly simplistic, but it was a very powerful change for me. I have maintained my ideal weight for many years now, and I attribute that to changing the way I think about myself and who I am...

I have been finding it helpful to remind myself that "It's just a trigger." Sometimes i repeat it out loud and it helps to dissipate the craving. I was finding myself triggered around 3pm on fridays to think about what we were going to order for takeout that night. Also, finishing my dinner would trigger me to go grab something sweet and/or salty & crunchy. I have been using "Its just a trigger' for a few weeks now and it really does help.

first of you posts I've seen and well done! Things that help me are thinking of my future self and how I want to feel, be more toned and healthier! I've heard wheat grass is the best sprouted thing to grow/eat but all are good and especially important to grow easily at home since sprouts at the store can easily be contaminated. I get a stellar dose of organic spinach at breakfast with a few browned pieces of potato and a couple over medium eggs on top! And it is a deterrent that when I eat a lot of toxic sugar I feel absolutely lousy. Trying for progress, not perfection folks AND time of day is key for me=I eat very well all day then eat chocolate at night. Best, from Colorado!

Good for you! I love wheatgrass and grow they as well. All the sprouts and microgreens are fantastic for nutrients per bite☺️

I have been following you for a while eating plant based. But it is so hard when I hear so many different things like we need to eat more protein less carbs to gain muscle as we age and to lose the weight. I am 52 and struggling to get my weight back to normal and I flip flop when I read the next thing, trying to find what will work. It is so confusing with all of the noise, but WFPB seems to make the most sense to me as being the healthiest.

I understand, I would take an honest look at any processed foods creeping in, aim to eat less starches and grains and more greens and veggies plus beans and fruit.

Talking about “healthy” food can be so triggering for many, but talking about how wonderful it feels to eat lots of fresh, vibrant foods is usually met with a different attitude (a less defensive posture).
