Thank you for sharing your family’s recipe. I’ve never made my Polish family’s recipe because I like my borscht vegetarian….so I made yours and just love it. The 1st time I made yours I had no cabbage but I made it anyways and loved it. The 2nd time I made your recipe I had cabbage but roasted the beets. So now I’m making your recipe going forward. My family and friends think that it is the most delicious! 😋 ❤

Does this soup freeze? I would like to make it but I would need to freeze some and I’m not sure how the potatoes would be after freezing.

You can freeze it, but the texture of the vegetbales will be compromised, like in case with any frozen soups
thank you Kelvin, grandmother's recipes are always the best ;)

Can you share the meat version as well
@HappyBellyfish4 жыл бұрын
Hi Roopesh, the meat version is pretty much the same, you just use meat broth with bones for that, instead of vegetable broth. As I don't cook meat myself, I won't be able to shre a recording of the version, but you can find many traditional borscht recipes, that are made with meat.

We do, it must be the influence from the Caucasian though, Russian cuisine has a lot of adoptions from the nearby regions 😉

Bolshoe Spasibo, for the Russian Borscht recipe. (Aside: Lately I have come to realize that your Banderistan “neighbors” are in the habit of culture appropriation. Ignore them. )
