My very progressive gynecologist had recommended adding a plant-based protein powder to my diet during and after my pregnancy. I'm a non-egg eating vegetarian. This really helped with not only the baby's vitals and mine too during the pregnancy. I was in top shape, managed to stave off hunger and general fatigue. Not only did this prevent me from gaining too much weight and body fat during the course of, it also helped in recovery and in general upkeep of hair and skin throughout the pregnancy. I was super active and satiated throughout the period. Would recommend all women/couples who are keen on expanding their family to speak with their gynecologist about the same. It's a game changer! Thanks for the very great video, would be good if you can do a 'eating-for-two' myth busting, pregnancy-related nutrition video.

Plant based proteins are inferior to meat protein there is no debate. If you seriously want to stay healthy. Eat whey protein.... 1gm of Protein for 1kg weight. Or mix different veg source protein. Main issue is amino acids. So Rajma and Chawal is complete source of protein. But Rajma alone is incomplete source of protein. A fellow vegetarian here... And Congrats on having a healthy child. 😀

Good points on plant based protein sources. And glad you didnot give any misleading info for veganism or plant-based diet 🍸
@varunbathija2 жыл бұрын
As he rightly mentioned peanut butter is not classified as a protein source as it has more calories from fat than it has from protein same goes with dals and legumes as they have a-lot more calories from carbohydrates than they have from protein. It would be very difficult to hit your protein goal from dal alone as you would get a-lot of carbs with it and would be impossible to be in a calorie deficit with only using dals and legumes as a protein source.

Since I was following and still Dr Eric Berg n was off sugar n grains, hence usual whey protein powders were too sweet fro me. But since u mentioned I looked on for isolate powder, it is very low in sugar n helped me in getting rid of excess water retention. I m so grateful to u, keep doing the good work. God bless.
