What do Miley Cyrus, Nathalie Portman, Al Gore, Paul McCartney and Morissey have in common? And what about Steve Jobs and Gandhi, amongst many others follow a diet for the sake of animal welfare. Are you confused by the difference between vegetarian, vegan raw vegan, fruiteran, flexitarian, pescetarian...etc in this video we example what these terms mean.

I live on an island in the Philippines, and, as you can imagine, the concept of "vegetarianism" is almost unknown around here, so it's quite a nightmare for a vegetarian to go out to eat! For example: they always put pieces of pork in vegetable salads ... for them it's unimaginable a dish without some kind of meat inside ... I remember once, a friend who had come to visit me, and who is a vegetarian, said to the waitress "I don't eat meat, do you have anything to offer me?" and the waitress "in this case we have chicken" :D

I have been plant base vegan my whole life and I was fruitarian for 3 yEars only messed my digestive system up . So went fully raw vegan then it messed my iron levels up big time so now I'm a flexitarian I eat mainly vegan no process foods and eggs . I'm thinking about bringing a bit red meat in my diet slowly once every 3 months as I have no thyroid and can not absorb synthetic iron of any kind and I have regular blood fusions. . But I'm still thinking about it. Oh an also thinking of anchovies as they contain high levels of iron. I can't eat kale and spinach and gluten or salt and sugar or any soya products or Wheat , I do still eat mostly raw .

KJ Always she is a strict vegetarian. Only lacto-ovo vegetarians eat cheese and eggs, the guy in the video does not make this distinction clear. If Miley Cyrus wears leather, then she is not a vegan, just a strict vegetarian.

Fruitarians you may find are fruitarians because fruits have all the body needs they do not lack in vitamins, minerals ,fats , amino acids, water and on and on......as you say ! Also Steve jobs was a fruitarian for only a short while and he admitted that his diet was not a healthy one meaning he ate a lot of processed vegetarian foods mostly. Also he was not a so called happy person, dealing with stress, anger, meanness etc.....please get facts right if you are going to give ‘factual information’!

Well, honey doesn't come FROM the bees, does it? The bees simply MAKE the honey. They swallow it, their mouths add enzymes to it, they store it in their special non-digestive "stomach", and then later the bee returns to the hive and regurgitates it. The honey never even enters the bees' digestive system. So, really, honey is just bee vomit which came from a flower. The bee "steals" from the flower, the humans steal from the bee...it's the circle of theft--I mean, circle of life.
