True! And I love that she never judges people who eat things that might be perceived as "weird" to eat. And yeah she is so honest! Too many youtubers exaggerate their reaction to things they eat/watch/whatever to be more entertaining and she is a proof that you don't need to do that for your videos to be fun to watch.

When my #2 son joined the Marines I just knew he would starve. He would not eat any food that touched another food, wouldn't try anything new, wouldn't eat anything "weird", wouldn't eat/drink after anyone...lol He came home and now there isn't anything he won't try, eats after people, and doesn't even flinch when it comes to drinking after his son...lol It's great.

Actually it was a bathroom thing. We got used to dousing our MREs in hot sauce when we were close to a bathroom, because the MRE without it bound us up so we didn't have to dig a hole and put a cheek on the ETool. The Tabasco sauce became a symbol of luxury, of easy time with a bathroom nearby

I recently, out of curiosity, sampled a veggie burger from an ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD MRE. It was edible, but not unlike eating styrofoam covered in a diffucult-to-define black sauce. For those who stockpile MREs, be aware they don't improve with age.

I imagine that after eating food like this day in and day out for months, one gets a real and honest appreciation for foods that are home cooked and not out of a can. Also foods that have crunch and texture and aren't heavily processed and full of excess salt and sugar.

Super Moosie a combination of bag design and menu items help date the MREs, too. 2000 would've had a very different bag design.

My college roommate was in the Marines and he told me that he used the entree heating bag as a warming device for his sleeping bag during cold weather training. LOL! And that coffee packet looks exactly like the instant coffee packet sold in Korea. The ones I tried also includes the sugar and non-dairy creamer mixed in with the instant coffee. I think that would be really useful for camping. It's super portable and everything is included in one slim package. Just add hot water.

I always carried 3 or 4 of the hot beverage bags to the field. They make great rain proof bags for cell phones and anything small to keep dry.

For heating the water, put it in the box between the box and the frh element while the main is heating up. This will allow the water to heat up while the main is heating up

When my dad was in the service years ago he had c rations. We had them for dinner my dad did not always provide at times. But we were happy having c rations. There was a meal stew or spaghetti then a cake or fruit a stick of gum. At least we had something to eat.

a custom Ramen recipie for you 1/4 cup of diced onions of any type 1 egg a pinch of shredded cheese 1 ramen any type besides teriyaki boil ramen as usual then drain save ramen in bowl with some water grill the onions then add egg - not needed but i add garlic and season all salt then i scramble the egg and onion and cheese up after i mix the soup without water to the eggs and add the season packet and stir
