So I made hot and sour, from a different recipe that didn’t specify the vinegar to use. Found out it’s black Chinese vinegar, didn’t have it and read that apple cider with a sweet balsamic would do it… honestly just not the same sourness I’m used to. Is there a better substitute or the only way to match the flavor you get from restaurants is to use black vinegar?
