The ruckus may be slow, but it is so much fun to ride with. The best scooter I have ever ridden.

@@Al_Dente-d1p not so good. As long as I'm moving it will continue at 30. From a dead stop and starting up a hill it's torture

I miss my Ruckus, i really want another one. I highly recommend at the very least an RPM gauge and a set of dr pulley weights to tune to your weight. Im pushing 230 and it made a HUGE difference in acceleration, like to the point I wasn't as scared to be ran over lol.

Low gas light comes on when you have 1/3 of a gallon. There is 1.33 gallon tank on the RUCKUS

It’s not a scooter, it’s a “Ruckus” That’s what I gotta tell anyone that refers to my Ruckus as a moped or scooter. They don’t understand

Thank you for the video! Can you please tell me if there's a gasoline smell from this scooter? I really want to buy a Honda Ruckus, but I live in a third-floor apartment with an elevator. However, I'm concerned about whether there will be a gasoline smell from it 🤷🏻‍♂️

My stock 2007 Ruckus is still running strong at over 32,600 miles.

If you are travelling long distances with full throttle, it is smart to use a 10$ cruise-control-clamp, in order not to hold the lever all time. It keeps the throttle full open permanently but is very easy to let go after getting used to quickly. You slip nasty numbness due to vibrations.

I highly recommend using ethanol free gas as it's carbureted

Great point. Only downside is that ethanol free gas can be down hard to find in most instances. In general, ethanol is ok if you are going to burn through it. It causes real issues if left in tank, allowing moisture to collect.

How much do you weigh? I'm 135 I'm curious how fast it'll go with a skinny idiot like me, lol!

i'm a big bear. Around 220. The max on the bike though is 40. The rev limiter is at 8800 rpm, but because it is a CVT, the transmission is tied to the rev limiter. It means that you are going to max out at 40mph, even for the most part downhill except extreme situations, unless you modify the gearing. Even if you modded it though and got another 10%, is there much of a difference between 40 and 44/45? If you want to go over 50, I would suggest looking at the Big Ruckus or something like a Trail 125.

@@TheGreatOutdoorAdventure nah 40mph is the max I want to go, it's the sweet spot for roads around me where almost every sign is 35mph or 40mph speed limit.

@@DyLemmaOG There is something to be said about a small bike where you can open up the throttle all the way. Actually more fun in some ways than a larger bike.

@@TheGreatOutdoorAdventure For sure! I bought and rode a CRF250 in my teens and that thing was scary. That was the most powerful 2 wheeler I've ever rode. I like having chill acceleration smooth rides and I don't have a motorcycle license.

I just bought a Ruckus. It's a 2024. I also own a Metropolitan. I love both. I've always wanted a Metropolitan, but when I saw the Ruckus after purchasing the Metro, I thought it'd be nice to have both. I'm able to obtain speeds of 45 miles per hour on mine.
