Good job very professional, im a tow driver in aus for the biggest roadside assistance club in queensland, u basicly do the same as us. We use soft slings around the control arms to a bridal and winch the car and as the front wheels hit the tray we throw a safety strap over 1 wheel (snatch strap with a soft sling incase the winch fails the strap is there to stop it from rolling down the road), and secure all 4 wheels. Ive been looking at videos on people using skates to find easier ways to get them off the bed when having to use 4 skates, its a pain in the ass. Keep up the great work and be safe out there

@@chrisschulze6110 thanks! 👋 some vehicles can be a pain in the ass to get off the tow truck. All depends on the bed and how much room you have to work. Skates, snatch blocks, and wood are a must have on any truck I operate. Great tools to get these jobs done

@@TowMan127 same we have all those on our trucks also, I hate skating BMW's mercs and range rovers especially if u need 4 skates, those 3 cars I mentioned all shift back into park and handbrake automatically come on if u exist the car

@@chrisschulze6110 the trick to those vehicles is to have the door open, drivers side seatbelt on then shift it into neutral and take off the parking brake. Anytime you do it with the door closed and open the door it sets off the safety and it will go back into park and set the parking brake. They suck! 😂 another way is to do it from the passenger side and exit from the passenger side.

You can just click the door latch down twice and the car then thinks you are in it! It won’t go back in park but just remember once on the bed to then pull on door handle to reset latch and then close the door properly.

Made it look easy. Having a steel smooth bed is a lot easier with these jobs then an aluminum with the grooves

Thanks Bruh! I’m gonna keep up the practice with skating on and off, however my experience with using a set of dollies and the stinger,( wheel lift), tells me it might be somewhat easier. Yeah, It might look funny with the bed empty and the car trailing behind on the stinger, it just seems like more of a sure thing. Great video, Cesar! Thank you

@@mtccorp you’re welcome. You can use the wheel lift and dollies if it’s easier for you. Sometimes it’s easier to just dolly the vehicle, I’ve done it a few times with vehicles stuck in park and parking brakes stuck on.

The ITI starter ramps are PERFECT for transitioning the skates onto the deck surface..... We also use them for two ton trolleys when you have a broken ball joint.

Why not use vehicle tow eye to pull vehicle on to bed ? Those control arms are not designed to pulled vehicle weight.

That tow bolt isn’t designed to drag the vehicle up the bed either but I’d rather take my chance at breaking a control arm than breaking a bolt and have it come flying towards me like a projectile.

Good job, except that I would hook the "L hook" directly to the chassis holes without using the bridle rope, and a better ramp for the skates 👍🏼

I noticed you’re still using Jay hooks nowadays we just hook up a double D ring strap 3300 pound rate directly to your bridal Makes for such an easy work and the Load won’t get away from you. I’ve only been doing it for 37 years.

I do use J hooks but it all depends on the vehicle and the suspension. I swapped the J hooks out for the axle strap bridle for this vehicle

I don’t use skates, snatch blocks, or any other special equipment for AAA calls. I don’t get paid enough from AAA to use all that. I’ll flip it into a private tow and bill accordingly, or AAA themselves can come out and do it.

I gotta turn them calls down until i get new skates. Mine will not slide at all, and tire just ends up rolling right over them, and send them flying lol. I was only able to use them once, thanks to the car loosing all of its oil, it lubricated the road and my bed, made it easier for it to slide 😂 desperately need new skates tho, just gotta wait for them to come in

I’ve been with AAA Oklahoma Fleet for 10 years whoever that driver was is just plain lazy. But could’ve been a contractor they’ll decline a call if it’s any work involved lol

If you ever have to take off the shift linkage just use the wheel lift to gain access under the car better. Then before lowering attach a chain or wench cable In and out in 25 minutes max

@@taylordougherty292 these you don’t have to go under the vehicle. Some of the new ones with the electric shifter, you can’t remove the cable and move it cause it will automatically go back into park.
